Other than the fact that some of the fighting seemed stiff, I disagree. Leo had trouble and was trying to get away, and the foot ninja's got some good shots and even took him down. Of course once he went into rage mode he started owning them which is fine cuz that's what he does.
The "interrogation" was silly, but it's understandable, he didn't know any better. Foolish, but understandable. Besides at the end they were just leading hime to scar-face, where he thoroughly got his ass beat.
I liked the art and the fact that at the end of it you knew Leo just faced about 4 dozen Foot ninjas.
This was my favorite Micro book, followed by the Raph one. And the Splinter one coming up next? awesome. Well done IDW, well done.

Just finished reading it! OH MY GOD! This was probably the best micro series thus far. The artwork was AMAZING.

Can't wait for the splinter one shot. I wonder who is going to be doing the art for that one? Anyone know/seen covers?

David Petersen once again has the Cover A and RI-A. I'm thinking he has a lock on all Micro Series covers. Which is fine by me, since I'm a superfan of his art.

i read it now! I noticed that it was similar to the 2K3 episode Shredder Strikes back part 1 where Leonardo fought against the Foot alone . It even had an element from Shredder Strikes part 1 where a mysterious character helps Leonardo(and we learn later that he is one of the guardians). A very good issue but it would have been even better if Shedder had made an apperance!

Shredder Strikes Back part 1 was based off the original Mirage Leonardo Micro.

God damn IGN didn't review this

I'm totally confused, because it made their "Comics Run" list on Tuesday.

He does. You must have missed my post a couple of months ago regarding the covers for the next set of four in the micro series. The April one will not be in solicitations though because I don't think David finished it that far in advance for Diamond to include it.

I figured as much. I mean, why would they let him do just the Turtles? I hope Shredder gets one, because I'd LOVE to see his Shredder on a cover. I'm sure it's awesome.

Because the original Mirage Micro-Series, in which the current Micro-Series took inspiration from, only included the 4 turtles. The plan to expand it to other important characters beyond the turtles was decided upon after the first 4 already went into production. Petersen himself said that he thought Leonardo was to be his last cover as far as he knew until he got word that they are going to be doing more and asked him to continue his fantastic work!

I disagree. I felt the foot soldiers were really overwhelming Leo as I was reading. It felt like they were actually smothering him. I thought they beat him up pretty good before it was all over.

One of my favourite IDW issues so far.
Leo kicked bvtt! Love Ross Campbell's style although it really clashes with the design of most of the other turtles artwork out there. They are so tiny it almost makes them look like chibi versions of their selves. ;D

Glad you like him. Not sure if you saw the The Ross Campbell appreciation thread (IDW, WE WANT HIM BACK!)? You might also like the Ross Campbell plans his own FAN COMIC thread.
