really? tenuous at best, salesmen are also actors then?

understanding the difference between 'playing a role' and 'acting' is key here.

and purely stating a wrestler playing a role in a terrible movie, definitley does not certify any kind of "acting" talent.

My 3 top picks to play Casey Jones:

1. Michael Jai White
2.Tony Jaa
3. Xpac

MJW - cheesy one-liners, buff, and hurts people.
TJ- great chase scenes, lots of foot clan broken bones.
Xpac - extra sleazy towards April O'Neil.

Aaron Paul. He's a good actor. He'd bring the same edge Koteas brought. He's relatable but can also seem a bit crazy. He & Fox could have chemistry. He's popular. He's not a predictable choice but still realistic. If Cranston could do Godzilla, Paul could do Turtles. As I said before though, it'll probably be someone safe & dull like Liam Hemsworth.
Hrmmm
I just imagine Casey in Jesse Pinkman's voice
"Class is pain 101 and you instructor is Casey Jones...BETCH!!"
But John Morrison would be awesome, especially after seeing it on Super Powered Beat down.

While that video was amusing and looked cool, his acting was abysmal.

Spoiler:

Yeah....NO. That dude ain't Casey. That's like casting "hottie" Megan Fox as April. Casey and April are just fairly normal people, not Hollywood Hot.

Guys... C'mon. It's obvious.

Chris Klein just needs to reprise his performance as Charlie Nash. DONE.

I'm actually dead serious. It'd be friggin hilarious and perfect.

It's not like Casey's whiteness has ever been an integral driving force in shaping his character, personality, motivation or upbringing, so I don't see what difference increasing his melanin levels would make in the grand scheme of things. Besides - Bayturtles is already pretty awful (IMO), so I don't see how trying something new could make it any worse.

I've always viewed 2k3 Casey as being of mixed racial heritage anyway - especially when you compare his skin color to how albino April looks)...

That being said, I do understand your perspective as well Boston.

I always thought Mama Jones looked like she could be Native American.

My personal vote would be for Channing Tatum.
He's not the most talented actor of course, but he has the body, the could be personally interested in the project, he's done 21 Jump St reboot mixing both action and comedy, AND he could be the kind of actor Bay would like for the movie.

From the ones mentioned by other people here, I agree with Chris Pratt but don't think Paramount could pay him, Josh Duhamel is a very interesting candidate and I think he could to the role but is lacking the "bad boy" ingredient and Chris Klein, who let's not forget was involved in Street Fighter: The Legend, is an option I would never have thought about but could get the job done without making the movie worse.

I love Morgan freeman.
I once played Pictionary with my dad's aunt and my sister when I was in elementary school. And I drew him.
Of course no-one guessed it.
They got angry with me.

While I agree, I doubt they'll cast a good actor, and it would fit with the Bay Turtles.
But CHris Cline could also work.
I would say Taylor Kitsh, but hasn't he headlined only bombs? I guess Savages and Origins:Wolverine did well enough in the box office...

Honestly if they were just gonna cast a dude based on looks I'd honestly just give it to Morrison. I never cared much for him but he's jacked and could do his own stunts, which would save a few bucks. His vocal delivery kind of sucks but seriously, that's not really a concern for this project. Especially if they decided to play him more like OT Casey and have him with a screw or two hanging loose.

Plus, he hasn't done anything in a long time so he'd probably work for peanuts. Or protein shakes. Or ab lotion.
