In teaching, you deal with a different array of students with different learning styles. You have those who are auditory learners while some understand things by being hands on and others understand best by reading the material. In Mikey's case, he strikes me as a visual learner. He gets stuff better if he sees it. If he has a photographic memory, it makes sense. I also could see him being a handson learner...his nunchucks.

As I've said before, the nunchuck is one of the most difficult weapons to master. You need a lot of focus and concentration to master them. Given Mikey for this series, how did he manage that?
I actually thought that Mikey didn't really heal Donnie and that Splinter's mantra did but they didn't want Mikey to feel so bad so they just told him that. I thought they might reveal that later but then they never hinted towards it so maybe Mikey did save the day. I liked the episode but honestly I think they make Mikey in to WAY too much of an idiot sometimes and it borders on making me not even like him as a character because he is so dumb. I love all the Turtles but I'm just saying that they sorta push the envelope in making him less of the "goofy" one and more of the "dangerously freaking stupid" one. Maybe it's just me though.

But Mikey isn't dangerously stupid.... Early season 1 Mikey was.... Oh and here's my take on the ep....

I think it's cute in general that Mikey likes hanging around Donnie. For me, it's reminiscent of the Mirage comics, as I was always under the impression that Mikey was close to Donnie and Raph and Donnie was close to Mikey and Leo...so it didn't bother me. Only Mikey's stupidity in season 1 annoyed me. Trying to talk to and keep his bro company doesn't bother me. Seriously, Donnie is fully capable of kicking Mikey out of and banning him from his lab if he didn't want him there. Personally, I think Donnie secretly like his younger bro's company.

I also like how Mikey later was trying to ease the tension and lighten the mood with the Kraangdroid head. Made sense to me. He felt bad about what happened. Truly shows how he's the "heart" of the team, imo.

That aside, this episode was great for me. It was funny, but sucks that there were no Pinky references. Would've been great to hear something similar to "Narf" coming out of Donnie's mouth. I also laughed my head off when Donnie stole Raph and Leo's masks. I want to know how he managed to do that. lol. Ironic how Raph was unmasked in the first Creep ep and how he was for this...even though it was a blink and you miss it moment.

Oh yeah...the Friday 13 junk was fun to catch.

I like how Raph fought a lot this ep. When he took that hit from the Creep, I was like, "Wow Raph". lol

It was interesting seeing April in the Shellraiser at the controls. Good thing she managed to figure it out.

The fight at the end where it was Mikey and Raph, loved it. That's what I liked about the Turtles in Time ep. Those two fighting together.

I like how Mikey managed to save Donnie. I now don't have a problem with the Retromutagen he made in the other ep.

To me, the show is showing that Mikey is a bit like all three of his brothers.

Leo: He's the most skilled (we all know it) as he's the most serious when training. Mikey out-Ninja'd Leo last ep. He can be good when need be.

Raph: He's the aggressive fighter. He doesn't hold back. Mikey has moments where he can be aggressive.

Donnie: He's the brains of the group. To me, the series is inferring that Mikey is smart, but in an instinctive way, hence the antidote he made for Donnie.

I dunno, maybe I'm looking too much into it, but it just seems that way to me...

I do like how they tied this into the Karai plot (and it also hinted that the next episode was a Karai one!). And Creep's deep breathing is really well-done. I like how Son of Snakeweed is proportionately the same size as the Snakeweed toy.

Did anyone mention that Jason Takes Manhattan featured Kelly Hu? Too bad they couldn't work Karai into this one lol.
