I liked DK64 back in the day, but it wasn't as fun as Banjo. Haven't played DK64 since... 2002? So I dunno how badly it has aged and I'm not really curious to find out either.

DK64 is terrible, even when it originally came out it was poorly received. Definitely the worst of all the N64 3D platformers. The sheer mass of collecting, poor required mini-games to get golden banana's, and long drawn out worlds without decent platforming killed it.

There's a reason there's never been another 3D DK platformer since. Nintendo has kept DK strictly 2D afterward with Jungle Beat, and the two DKCR games.

Just a joke man, I don't think your crap. Sorry I stand firm on my love for DK64. I don't care if people think I have bad taste because of it. I love all the Rareware games, Banjo and Conker are most likely my fav video games of all time, I would telling porky's if I said anything different.

I find I able to go back and play those sorts of games, stuff like Mario Galaxy, Banjo, Zelda etc. As much as I liked games such Red Dead Redemption and GTA when they first came out. I just can't get back in to them

Nintendo is all that is holding my interest in gaming these days. I think the 3Ds is amazing, better than the Wii U in fact. I am playing through Paper jam atm, SOOOO good!

Whose ass did that "fact" come from? Because when DK64 released it got 8's and 9's (out of 10) pretty much across the board. And sold well enough to be the 8th best selling title on the N64. So yeah, you're wrong.

Yes, it's because after Rare was sold to Microsoft. The entire DK franchise was left directionless and was a mess of spin offs, remakes and party games. It took 8 years to even get a proper Donkey Kong game again.

I've found much of Baito's banter to be pretty clever. The Nintendo Badge Arcade is quite fun, even if they do make you sit through annoying ass promos sometimes.

This is genuinely funny, however I hate how many memes Nintendo puts on their games, I was playing a friend's copy of the new Mystery Dungeon game and it had that stupid "Just Do It!" Shia Lebouf crap in it, and that was just from me playing it for 5 minutes. I know I've seen it in other games before as well and it's gone from clever to pandering to neckbeards. HAHA I GET THAT REFERENCE.

Pssshhh, never had a problem with DK64! Some missions were annoying as a kid (Diddy's Crystal Caves cabin mission where you defeat the enemies in a time limit). Nowadays, it's p*ss easy. No where near as tough as Super Mario Sunshine's tedious bullsh*t.

I am not a fan. It can be amusing when they reference a gaming in-joke, like "My Body Is Ready" or in the above case, "Ridley Confirmed" but that other stuff is a major cringe-fest.

Yea we get it a month early in the UK. It's soooooo f*cking good. I am a such a Huge Paper Mario fan, so this is holding me over until they lift their arses off thier hands, and get on with a home console version.

Pretty much this. There's not much that'd get me excited beyond my few most wanted choices, & while there are plenty of characters I'd be happy to see, I'm figuring it will be one that my interests are removed from.

I was thinking about a list of newcomers respectively of Nintendo and third party because of Cloud and Ryu as DLC, these are my main hopes:

Nintendo based in no particular order:
-Rundas (Metroid)
-Something from gen 3 or 5 Pokemon (Breloom or Excadrill are my choices, both popular and unique typing to differentiate from the Pokemon roster)
-Porky Minch (Mother and side note, I feel we need more villains)
-Shovel Knight (indie character to advertise plus excellent in his own right with potential moveset)
-Custom Robo character
-King K. Rool (so people can finally shut up about him)
-Krystal? (Star Fox)
-Bandana Waddle Dee (Kirby and to finish up the current crew from RtD)


Third-Party:
-Simon Belmont (Castlevania, but extremely unlikely without Konami being the bane they are now)
-Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden)
-Arthur (Ghosts n Goblins) or Phoenix Wright to wrap up Capcom
-Lloyd (Tales)
-Bomberman

I'm well aware of my choices being absolutely rubbish for a lot of these, but anyone who I have bolded is what I want in, at least one of them. Just excited, hopefully I can finally get the game because I am getting a 3DS for Christmas. Also, broadcast is coming up in the next fifty minutes for my place.

Shovel Knight is very much not Nintendo based. I'd also much rather indie characters stick to something like Indie Game Battle instead.
