The joke is that the 87 show had a lot of animation errors and this special has an animation "error", it isn't really a mistake.

I'm confused as to how it's an actual joke. It's a fact. The OT did have animation errors. I remember one ep that had three Leonardos in the front seat of the Turtle Van. lol

I think the point is that it's probably an intentional joke in this episode, NOT a joke from a member here.

In other words since the blokes 'n' lasses behind this show heart the source material so much, they slipped in a second Raph on purpose

True. True. I guess it's just a little funny running gag of sorts which makes it funny. But I can't follow Pap, most of the time.
