Maybe you weren't the first person who sent him the link. I've never even thought about sharing any of these videos with David Wise until now.

PS. Powder if you're reading this, please message me. I haven't heard from you lately.

He said "Damn, we famous!" after I posted on his wall that James Rolfe was talking about the Technodrome, which he created.

Neat. Ya think this ends "Turtle Tuesdays"? Hope not, I'm a huge fan of both Rolfe & the TMNT so these few weeks have been great.

Powder I was hoping the same thing. Here is a direct quote from cinemassacre.

"Every Tuesday, I’ll be posting new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle related videos. At least for the rest of the summer. For now, here’s an old one from 2003, but there’s been a few revisions for 2011."

Great video, couple of nitpicks though:

1. He never uses the black and white Mirage comics when referring to them, always the colored versions.

2. He didn't mention that after season 4, they started using the first episode of each subsequent season to serve as "season finale" to the last. Ya know, with having something big go down with the Technodrome and all.

3. He didn't showcase the OT replacement VA's from Turtles Forever. Raphael's voice actor definitely deserved some props.

He says it's all through the summer and summer hasn't even started yet. I think he'll talk about stuff like Next Mutation and more.

Hey, cool, that was the first time I've ever seen the TMNT bumpers from the USA Express programming block. @5:59

I think James had his expectations too high regarding "season finales." While some seasons of TMNT and other cartoons made an attempt to have a big adventure to end the year, most kid's cartoons at that time didn't really bother, especially since the episodes might just be aired out of order anyway. The whole "Season" concept wasn't quite as important back in the early 90s as it is today.

Another great video!

I really hope this isn't the end and that he actually does separate showcases for the films, the 2k3 show and Turtles Forever, because for how much he complained about the same thing I felt like the ending to this video "was a little rushed"

James definitely got one thing right: Irma's musician boyfriend was the lamest character ever on the show!!!

I really hope he goes over the NES games next. I loved Manhattan Project!

How is Fillet pronounced anyway.

I always pronounced it Fi-ley as in the food fish-fillet, but I have heard others pronounce it fil-it

He's so far shown a trend of doing one "quirky" video between show recap videos. He's been pretty creative with this so it's hard to predict, but I'm going to guess that his next video will be about bizarre TMNT oddities like the live action show, the Japanese anime, the PSA, TMNT ripoffs/references, etc.

I've seen all these. Sofar so good. I agree with another poster that he is very informative about some of the themes in the show. I already knew they watched old, cheesy sci-fis, and that the names were mocks of actual movies. Some of the quotes were mocks of movies too, like when Leo in an episode said, "I'm mad as heck and I'm not gonna take it anymore!" (don't think James mentioned that tho). What I didn't know tho is that the dvd releases were so effed, as I don't have all of them. But yeah, it definitely is like another "Chronologically Confused" type ep.

Well...what Winters posted, but the CHARACTER isn't Ray Fillet. It's just some character who happens to be named Ray!

I couldn't believe James doesn't like Usagi Yojimbo! He just lumped him together with Mr. Ogg. Oy...

Back when Steve Murphy still had his TMNT blog, I remember him doing a post on how it was originally going to be Man Ray in the "Rebel Without a Fin" episode but the cartoon's creative minds wanted to make him into a bad guy. Murphy (or somebody at Mirage) protested and they changed the character to a generic fishman named "Ray."

Yeah, I remember that story too.

And I can't believe I forgot the Usagi and Mr. Ogg comparison...NO, JAMES! NO!
