Why is this show so despised?

I try to honestly respect anyone i share a fan community with,but its really hard to believe die hard tmnt fans can be so overly critical of a show that has only aired 16 episodes. Lol My God people, just relax.Its a great series.I love ALL tmnt and none are perfect. Doesn't mean it deserves to be s--ted on because heaven forbid its not living up to some guy living in his moms basemens expectations after 16 episodes.

I developed a mild case of hatred towards mindless entiltled fan brats (who thinks their opinions are oh so great) thanks to those.

The Pokemon fandom is probably the worst. Its split between the people who only like the first one or two generations, the people who like all generations, and the younger kids growing up with the newer stuff.

Then there's the idiots who are still sitting there crying over Misty after 10 years. How sad.

I think what Jester was saying was that people may not agree, but they have the right to give their opinion. Some fans get very uppity with their opinion and disregard anyone that things otherwise... telling people who disagree to shut up just kills the discussions. This place would be Very boring without variety.

In terms of the show being despised, I think it's a fairly small percentage. You'll always have types that are diehard fans of certain eras or universes for the turtles, and will just hate on everything else, or they don't want ANY kind of changes to separate the franchise from their childhood memories.

I'm personally loving the show. A couple things I would tweak, but overall I'm happy with it..

The funny thing about that is that the worst thing about Pokemon, in my opinion, is it doesn't change enough. The games are the same old scenario over and over with too little development, the anime is just repetitive and refuses to end or let Ash Ketchum age, and the spinoff games are way too shallow. I do prefer Misty to May and Dawn just because she's a gym leader and as such, a tough battler, whereas May and Dawn are just contest types which seems sexist and dull, but Misty leaving didn't make me stop watching the anime regularly, because boredom did that far earlier.

Not that I want the last word, and if it makes you look like a martyr for me to defend my post, fine but here we go.

You didn't just say that you like the Turtles. You disparaged those who "s***ed" on it by saying they lived in their mother's basements. I may not agree with some member's assessment of the Nick series, but they by no means have been saying anything that isn't a valid gripe and is not disparaging it for the sake of doing so.

I'm glad that you also like the series, but by calling for civility when people are just offering valid arguments and then making them seem like the stereotypical basement dwelling internet troll for not agreeing you is incredibly hypocritical and almost more disruptive than the debate on the merits (or lack there of) of the Nick series.

Well the Pokemon anime is known for being very repetitive anyway, each saga is supposed to be targeted at a new generation of kids anyway. Nobody ever thought the show was going to have a good storyline or good development.

In a way Pokemon is a lot like the original TMNT cartoon. It follows repetitive formula over and over again, with Shredder/Bebop/Rocksteady essentially being Team Rocket and the Turtles being the heroes stopping them in every episode. But it doesn't matter because people find it fun. As for Misty, she got boring in Johto along with most of the show at the time, so I didn't care they got rid of her. Looking at Brock who stayed all those extra seasons and he turned awful should show why that was a good thing.

Seems like the "basement " comment was all you hear put of an entire paragraph. I respectively have to say how valid are merits when saying a 8 year run series is better than a series that's only 16 episodes deep.Sorry to be disruptive.Please carry on.
