You want breast physics on the turtles, huh?

Maybe? Might? The Soul Calibur fighting system is perfect for a TMNT game, though. I'll settle for a Brawl style game instead, though, as long as it's not crappy.

S***, busted. Nothing like bouncing bewbs on chiseled plastrons.

I mean I'm somewhat satisfied with this. We get a TMNT game online with a style similar to SSBB (a game I'm online with all the time), so I can see the plus side to getting this game. It won't get stale for me (hopefully). But seriously, it's like The Shelf said, the Soul Calibur fighting engine would be perfect for this game. It's one of the very few games that has perfected weapon-wielding in the fighting genre, and that's something that should be right up a TMNT fighter's alley.

I had something snarky to say in reply, but your sig is too awesome and it won me over.

I've been fishing for some more info on this with a couple of different venues, and still nothing more than what Nintendo Power's article said. 'Tis a bugger. I'm going to run with Hero's idea, and say that they should do a daily update site like Nintendo did with Brawl. I have fond memories of checking the site first thing when getting into work (back then mornings were relatively slow), and even the lame days were better than nothing (because they became a source of jokes around the office, as sometimes we'd suggest the next update would be "This is a video game!" or "You play this on the Wii!")

Beat me to it, tOk'. Then again, my version of the scans probably wouldn't have surfaced for a long time, so maybe it's for the best.

Well thats your opinion, you have a MK avatar which has always been a mediocre franchise.

Saying there are exceptions to the licensed based games being sh*t argument is just that. It's an exception, and a very rare one at that. The facts and evidence are right in front of you. Third-party licensed Wii games are usually a complete load of junk. Most Wii games are absolute throwaway trash as it is, adding a license to it is only going to make it worse, in most cases.
This really just sounds like a huge case of denial to me.
Its not that rare of an exception. And any popular console will have tons of shovelware, look at all the ****** PS2/PS1/SNES/NES titles, the Wii is no different and it'd be the same thing if the PS3 was popular. People just like to hate on Nintendo.

Quote:
Then you need to play games longer, or take a bigger and more in-depth look at the industry. People can try and give games the benefit of the doubt all they like, but the fact is, more often than not, you can get a pretty good reading on how a game will turn out simply by looking at who's involved in it.
This wasn't directed at me but This is not always the case though. Ask any "core" gamer and they'll all tell you of games that got crappy reviews/previews that they love. Its a matter of taste, just because a certain company is developing doesn't mean it'll be good or bad nor does it mean that if a game is hated its a bad game. Look at games like God Hand, hated by all the press/websites yet loved by people.

Quote:
Certainly, you can't outright say "this game will be complete sh*t," far from it, but what you can do is make an educated guess, and set your expectations accordingly. Just take a look at the TMNT games released last-gen. They were mediocre at best. And everyone here can b*tch and moan about it, but they were. Now, we transport the license to the Wii, a console infamous with it's amount of absolutely sh*tty third-party games, exclusive or not. Look at the track record here, how is it possible be positive about this possible outcome? The only reason this game hasn't already fallen off my charts is because of the caliber of developers working on it.
First of all they are just different times, releasing the "good" turtle games now and they would also be considered mediocre. Beat-em ups were popular in the 90s but there is no way they'll get a good review now.

The Wii gets a lot of "all they get is ****** third party games" which is not an entirely false statement but the Wii also has good/great third party games. Look at the PS3, it doesn't have as much crap but it also does not have a lot more "good" third party games than the Wii. Also I'm sure you're counting plenty of games YOU don't like as ****. Like say trauma center.

The best news I can hope for is a multi-platform release. At least that way, we'll be guaranteed the ability to play the game without the inevitably horrific waggle controls.
Funny, its multi-platform games that are most likely to be bad since they are trying to make it "universal" instead of taking advantage of the strengths of one console.

Jesus flippin' Christ, can we not do this? Seriously, I'm regretting bringing this thread back into the limelight. All of this arguing and opinion bashing was done pages ago. We're talking about this game, this one game, and that's it. Leave well enough alone.

Out of curiosity I'd love to know what the Wii's strength is? If being a Gamecube with a motion censor stick that barely works is a strength then I give up.

Hi, I thought I should mention that Ubisoft has mostly been more focused on selling their games to Wii instead of the other game consoles like PS3, and Xbox 360. Although, I did see two games for PS3 not too long ago and one was "Prince of Persian or commonly called PoP" and another game I forgot the title name. If you noticed Ubisoft also makes the Petz games too, but not the original PF Magic Petz series 1-4 for the PC. Although they tried adding their own ideas in Petz 5 but they scrapped the orignal ending it, and came up with more realist Dogs and Cats starting over from scratch adding more animals in the mix. All the Petz games currently have been for Wii only a few have been on PS2. So it's unlikely this new TMNT game will make it to the PS3, or XBox 360 consoles.

So far money has been very tight lately, and I haven't been able to buy a Wii since they still fall in the $200 category and they're always sold out before I can get one at Wal-Mart. What makes things worse is that Wal-Mart no longer accepts lay-aways so, I can't pay off a little and buy it later on.

What exactly is Super Smash Bros? What is it about?

The new game sounds promising, but I have no idea what this game is all about besides the TMNT fighting characters and probably each other in a type of brawl.

If you're gonna make fun of it, get it right. It's two Gamecubes duct taped together with waggle.

First, the MK comment. Doesn't hurt me at all, especially coming from someone who has an avatar and sig full of SONIC THE F*CKING HEDGEHOG. Way to fail at an insult.

As for the rest, I don't even know where to start, so I won't. You didn't get a lot of what I was saying, but I don't really care. And I love a lot of badly reviewed games, so that argument isn't going to fly, especially considering I tried to champion God Hand around here when it first came out. And yeah, I liked Trauma Center for the first time, on the DS, the Wii game is the same thing with less precision. Which is true for a lot of sh*tty Wii ports.

You can go ahead and defend the Wii all you damn well please, because that's what people who only own a single console do, but I don't give a sh*t anymore. In my opinion, the game has a bigger chance to suck more d*ck as a Wii exclusive than it does as a multi-platform game. STFU.

It wasn't an insult, I enjoy MK somewhat but for someone being so nit-picky it makes no sense for that person to be MK fan counting all the flaws it has. As for my avatar its just something I put up when I registered and haven't changed it, I don't visit this forum often and its been my av/sig for so long I don't really intend to change it. Not to mention they are from the cartoon/comic and not the games. You don't see me rockin' out a sig/avatar from any of the 3D games.

And you don't know where to start , I understood your "points" perfectly but sure if it makes you happy. Not to mention Trauma Center on the Wii is thought by many reviewers as an improvement.

And I'm no fanboy haven't been since I first grew out of games when I was 14/15. I play games for enjoyment, I don't care about consoles as I do about the games. Which is why I defend the Wii from "Harcore Gamer" fanboys who think they know better. The Wii is fun, yeah it has a lot of flaws but man the 360/PS3 have just as many flaws. I like the PS3 and 360 but I also like the Wii, they all have their pros and cons. I could care less about a game console having HD graphics or Waggle as long as I am playing a game that entertains me. So go ahead and have an angry fit. oh and you're wrong about me only having a Wii aswell.

I'm wondering what the voice cast will be like. Actors from the recent movie? 4Kids actors? A mixed bag? Completely new actors?
