Just saw the first one. Man, I'm not sure. I get what Gunn is trying to do, and they're making Peacemaker himself almost like the Johnny Lawrence figure from Cobra Kai... but I'm not sure it works. Not with this ensemble and a lot of this "obvious humor." A lot of... stuff you'd expect to see in an SJW-driven show these days, too, but I can't tell for sure if Gunn is doing that ironically. Some of it, sure.

Maybe these will get better but no laughs from me at all in episode 1. That WAS a great fight at the end, though. It was telegraphed as coming but that was pretty brutal.

Just started the first episode and the show has a black lesbian couple right from the start. Also does anyone else think the girl with the short blonde hair sort of looks like Robin from Stranger Things? Like maybe a slightly older version of her since this actress is older? I almost thought it was the same person at first.
