BBC2 turtles

I just stumbled onto a newsrelease on www.ninjaturtles.com that said the classic turtle series was airing on BBC2, or something like that. WHat channel is that and is it (classic turtles) on that channel now? What areas does it air? I want to see it because I fear that they won't rerelease all the eps on DVD or it won't be until 2007 or 2008 until all the eps are released, since there is no word on season 2 dvd.

Hi D_fife

I believe your thinking about the 1980's cartoon. I think they are showing it on BBC2 in the mornings during the cbbc time. They used to show it on the cbbc channel on weekday afternoons, but I'm not sure if they still do that.

Sorry I couldn't have been more help to you

BBC2 is a British channel I'm afraid. BBC stands for British Broadcasting Company

The Original TMNT cartoon is not on British Tv at the moment.

BBC2 did show it last year or earlier in the year early in the morning, which varied from a 7-9am period showing 89 Season Episodes. However, it wasn't consistantly shown week after week.

In the summer of 2002, I REJOICED as the CBBC channel showed a lot of the 89 Season and i taped every episode, where i now have hours of TMNT cartoons. They did not show the beginning of the 89 Season. I think the BBC hadn't shown the TMNT for many years up until 2002, and they have only ever shown the 88 and 89 Seasons!!!

The Tmnt Cartoon started on the CBBC channel in June 2002, then ended in August 2002. It hasn't been back on since...

The BBC are just not a reliable source. They never did show the 87,90,91,92,93,94,95,96 Seasons, plus the Europe episodes. A big list of casualties there.

I don't know if i can go into detail about this, but you can download TMNT eps, old and new from file-sharing websites!!!

I guess seeing the turtles on BBC channel is not worth it because it only has 88 and 89 seasons and I have all the 88 season eps on ep except Case of the Killer Pizzas ( I have seen that ep many times though), and my return of the technodrome ep is in not good shape, and 1/3 of the 89 eps on tape. I just want to have all 193 eps on tape.

THAT makes NO sense to not air season 87. IF people saw the turtle eps for the first time on that channel, how will they know how it all began?
