The Laser Guns

Im new, so I dont know if this question has been asked before. I havent seen a lot of the old episodes in a long time, but did anyone ever get hit by one of those laser guns? For all the shots Bebop and Rocksteady fired, they were pretty awful shots. If villains in cartoons were good shots, the heroes wouldnt last very long!

We're talking a little bit about that in THIS thread, but I think a lot of Bebop and Rocksteady's missed shots can be credited to the Turtle's rad agility. That's not to say I'm giving a lot of credit to B and R's marksmenship either though.

That happens a lot in cartoons. The worst shooters were on the GI Joe cartoon. Boy those guys missed them all, they were blind. But I think the turtles were hit before but the lasers were stunt lasers not lasers lasers.

I remember rare times that the TMNT would get hit by the lasers. They just go flying back and are a bit winded but other then that they don't seem damaged. I gotta say, those turtles are REALLY tough considering that those blasts can go through almost anything! Heck, we've seen the guys fall 500 feet down a hole to get to the Technodrome. They just dust them selves off and they're good to go!

BAxter got hit in enter the fly when Shredder had bebop and rocksteady stun him with their lasers to get him down.

But when bebop and rocksteady were firing at traag and grantor in hot rodding teenagers they did not hit them, traag and grantor were blasting at them.

In enter the shredder they were blasting at the turtles, but did not get them. Heroes are always able to duck the villians laser blasting in most cartoons.

That's not entirely true. Joes occasionally got hit by Cobra troops, but only when it was essential to the plot. Duke got grazed in the shoulder at the beginning of the movie and then impaled through the heart by a poisonous snake later on (only to slip into a coma for a day and then come right back out of it in the morning...BULLSH*T!).

There was still blood in the tv series, just not due to laser blasts (at least none that I can recall).

In Cobra's Creatures as well as several otehr episodes, Cobra troops getting punched in the face squirt blood out of their noses.

But the most noticeable use of blood in the tv series, and probably one of its most violent moments, was in Satellite Down.

Basically Storm Shadow and a bunch of Cobra troops stumble upon a villaige of sasquatches in South America, as do some Joes. Well, after getting captured by the sasquatches they make in escape. In an attempt to subdue them, one of the sasquatch children leaps onto Storm Shadow. Storm Shadow them promptly hurls him at full strength against the side of a cliff. The sasquatch slowly slides to ground, leaving a trail of blood against the wall and goes limp, dead. Scarlett then yells "Storm Shadow! They're just children!" to which Storm Shadow replies "Your compassion is your weakness!".

So the GI Joe tv series could get pretty violent, just as long as nobosy got shot.

Maltese Hamster was kind ironic. Shredder had all these godly weapons that he gave to The Butcher and his men to find the Maltese Hamster and destroy the turtles if he had the chance yet Shredder had never used these weapons before. The laser guns they had looked like the ones Bebop and Rocksteady normally had except the lasers were much more powerful.
