Customs Question

Hey guys. Can some veteren customizers answer a question for me? What kind of paint do you use? I"ve been using testors paint, and it's just too shiny. What should I use?

From my experience and what I've picked up from other customizers I can offer a couple of pointers:

-Testors brand is ok, but avoid the standard Testors model paints. The are eneamel paints and do not dry properly on many action figures due to the type of plastic.

-If you must use enamels, prime the figure first. I've done this before and had good results.

-If you want to change the finish on a figure (reduce the glossiness) you can use a product called dullcote. It is available in both spray and brush on versions and works very well.

I use Testor's Acrylic Paints. They are available in both Flat & Glossy Colors. Make sure you check the label. I paint figures using several thin coats. I use several different sized brushes. You get better results doing it this way.
