when did you first know about a tmnt movie?

Okay the first movie I just saw the poster with the 4 coming out of a sewer, it was sorta scary but cool. The second movie, I was watching TGIF on a friday and saw the trailer and remember Donnie getting thrown in the air and it was just sooooooo cooollllll!!!! what was your first time being introduced to a turtle movie?

I saw an ad for it in one of my old TMNT VHS tapes back in 1989 or 1990. Then I watched it in the theatres when it was first released.

My dad is always paying attention to what movies are coming out--I remember him calling from work to say that a TMNT movie was on the way ^_^ And then fighting with my mom to let me go see it >_> Same with Adams Family

I was watching tv one saturday morning, and there was a special making of the Turtle suits and then they went to a commercial advertising that the movie was coming to theatres. I remember running upstairs to my parents room and waking them up to tell them about the movie. I remember seeing it 4 times in the theatres. That was a record for me until I saw the first Spider-Man 7 times in the theatres. When the TMNT 1 came out on video, most of my family was actually fairly into the turtles, so we baught it the day it came out, and I would watch it from start to finish and then rewind it and watch it all over again. It's still one of my all time favorite movies. I'm glad I have it on DVD now because my vhs copy was getting pretty worn out.

I learned about the first movie in 1989 and that they were working on it, I practically counted down the days until opening day, saw it ON opening day(ditto w/2 also) and fell in love with Raph.
I remember going to see #2 by myself on opening day...I felt kinda weird cause I was just out of high school and all these little kids and their parents...it was funny, but cool..cause i remember chatting with the kids before going on, they thought I was cool cause I was all like grown up and I liked TMNT.

Kids now in the bus either look at me really weird, or go 'why do you have a ninja turtle in the bus?'...
I guess I'm not supposed to like this stuff...?!

I first saw/heard about it when my grandpa got me the video of it for either my birthday or Christmas...I can't remember which.

My cousin had his best friends over, he's way older than me and my brother. But we had to stay over because our parents were out that night, my cousins friends rented the first movie because they knew how addicted I was to ninja turtles. I didn't even know it existed back then but me and my brother totally loved it.

I can't remember exactly when i first knew of the Turtles movie, but it was before it came out in the cinemas, why? Because my friends...

I SAW IT ON PIRATE VIDEO BEFORE IT CAME OUT IN UK CINEMAS IN 1990! A TRUE STORY!

The quality was quite good, but not brilliant!

Also meaning i saw the bits they edited out in the UK Cinemas, such as Michaelangelo's showing off with the Nunchukas, with the foot soldier.

If memory serves me correctly, I think I first heard about it while walking through a local mall and seeing a teaser poster. I cannot recall what the poster looked like but I think it was something like a sewer cover with a turtle hand lifting it up a little.

Eh? you mean they edited that part out at the cinema? That part was in the rental video and the video I bought as well as when they showed the flim on sky tv all those years ago.

When I was a wee lad (5 or 6) I saw it at the video shop. I liked them enough at the time to ask if we could rent it and we did. I liked it. And when I bought the 3 pack of movies not too long ago, as I watched them the memories come fluding back!
