store restocking

I asked this in my other thread, but I'm not sure everyone saw it.

Just as an estimate, how often do you think that a retail store such as Toys R Us gets new shipments on the TMNT toys? Every week or two weeks maybe?

That may be accurate for Spitfire's TRUs, but it's not nationwide. Mine gets trucks in every Tuesday/Thursday.

It's easy enough to find out, just call them and ask them.

No problem but to be honest Target and Walmart are better for buying TMNT toys they seem to have the newest stuff first and they seem to have more of it then Toysrus

Wheee I just called my TRU and they said they'd be getting trucks on Wednesday and Friday, although they didn't know what would be on them, so they suggested me coming in Thursday and Saturday morning. I'll do it!

Spitfire...my Target and Walmart usually lack TMNT goods, I don't know why, either that or I get there after other TMNT fans raid the shelves...but I'll keep my eyes peeled! Thanks for the feedback guys

Depending on what you want will also effect what day it's put out. Call your local TRU and find out when their trucks usually come. At the TRU where I work, they come on Thursday. From there, it's a matter of deciding which figures you want. If you want newer ones, like Triceratons and Fugitiods, the time to go would be first thing the following morning, for instance, for our TRU you'd want to look on Friday morning at 10:00. If you just wanted a first release Shredder, or Casey Jones perhaps, then go the morning after the first day (Saturday in my case) to get them. Reason being, is that the boxes are marked when they come off of the truck whether or not it is new merchandise, either it's something all new, or a new wave of something current. The Turtles in Space wave would fall in this category. The other boxes will be unmarked, and won't be worked out until the next full day. Hope it helps.

I asked several workers at TRU which day the shipments arrive. Every person gave me a different answer. The worker's at WM try to avoid being in the toy section. Those I did find don't seem to know anything at all. I can't find anything anywhere. I'm having a very difficult time trying to catch up with this line.

Heya TMNTGal,

I've been visiting every TRU, Target, and Walmart frequently without much luck. Ironically, when I came back from a 3-week vacation in Asia the first TRU I went to had everything in the new wave minus the multi-arm Shredder and that's the only time I've seen the new figs. I think your best bet would be to sit tight and eventually the new figs will flood the shelves.

I hope so. I'm behind on a lot of stuff but at least my army building is progressing nicely. I just don't know how I'll find all the older stuff that's no longer in stores. I can't find those damn DVD figures anywhere. I looked on eBay too but they don't have the ones I want.

Sorry about the DVD figures...they seemed to have been cleared off the shelves of all the Walmarts I've been to.

I've tried asking at my TRU, but they had absolutely NO answers for me. The little girl working there took a half hour on their computer trying to figure out what I meant when I was looking for TMNT toys.

The Target near me and the Walmart get the new TMNT toys literally a month or so before the TRU. Last time I went in TRU we still hadn't gotten the Space Hoppin' ones yet. And they had no clue what I was talking about.

That's too bad, because I love TRU. But I'd seriously check Target or Walmart first, because their figures are also over a dollar less than my TRU, too.

Thanks JD, I went to Target after TRU and there was no shipment. The prices aren't that different, TRU sells the figs for $5.99 and Target for $5.84, so Target does have a slight edge and they charge less tax (lol don't ask me why...it just is that way) so I guess it's cheaper there. I don't like asking Target people when they get new shipments because they get trucks all the time but never know what is scheduled to be in each of them.
