what are these?

Hey guys,

I was digging through my TMNT stash in the basement and I came across these. I can't remember what they are, but I think I won them in an auction and forgot about them. Maybe someone in here can help me out?

Marble shooters. I have the Leonardo...they came with two marbles cast in their color (Leo had blue, etc...). You jam them into their "stomach," then push that little black button, and they are shot out with a good deal of force.

Darn, I don't have any marbles. Anyway, I think they look super-cool. Do you know who made these toys? Definitely not Playmates' work...

I actually don't know... I would have assumed Playmates, just because I figured they controlled all TMNT toys, but I'm not sure. What's the copywrite under the button say?

They are very cool looking. I love the metallic finish, and seeing the Don and Mike, I'm starting to seriously think about getting the whole set.

Aha. You're right! It says Playmates Toys.

How do you plan on getting the whole set? Obviously they aren't sold in stores anymore, so I'm guessing eBay?

Dude, Marble Shooters! these used to be one of my favourite toys. They came out right about the same time as all the mini mutant toys (right about when i stopped buying tmnt toys, wish I would've picked up the whole set). These also came with a single black weapon for each turtle (only one sai for Raph etc.) Good luck finding a complete set, I think these are pretty rare.
