2005 Lineup?

Shouldn't we have heard more about this by now? By this time last year, we'd already seen a few preview pictures, and already knew several figures scheduled for the next year. This year, the only one we know of is Gen. I know we'll see all of them that are finished at Fall Toy Fair, but it still seems like we should've heard something else by now.

Yeah, especially with Karai. I mean, she came before Yojimbo, and they are ALREADY makeing him. No word on Karai yet...

Well the Leatherhead figure came out before the Utroms and Fugitoid (along with everyone from that series), but the figure was released pretty much around when the episode aired. I think with him and Usagi, they already knew long ago they would be introducing those characters, so they sent the specs to playmates earlier than usual. If you remember, when the Usagi prototype pics came out they only had sketches for Gen. So I'm thinking within the month we will see Usagi. Take care!

I hate to say this and you can beat me up for it if you like....

But I think honestly its because someone like Usagi is going to sell better to the target audience of the toys which is little boys.....

Not saying they won't make a Karai.... but I can see why they released Usagi first.

You're right. It's also important to take into account that Usagi was in the old line, while Karai wasn't, so Usagi is a more well known character.

Though at least in this area, every non-Turtle figure sells quickly, regardless of who it is, so it doesn't matter.

But my point was, is Playmates trying to keep the lineup under wraps this year or what? I mean, even stuff still coming out this year, the first time we heard of the Turtle Tunneler was when final packaged shots came out 2 days ago. Has anyone emailed Dan Berger and/or Playmates, and asked about release dates or lineups recently?

I just hope they don't do more turtles figures, like mike astronaut, or biker raph. I hate it when mireage starts with different versions of the turtles!

Yeah, seriously. 50 versions is enough (counting old school)

As long as the line is running, there are going to be new versions of the Turtles. There's just no way around it. Besides, we've already heard about new Turtles variants on the way, but that was awhile ago and I can't remember what they were(and I couldn't find the thread where it was mentioned either).

Gen,Traximus, Karai, Quarry, and Garbageman should be assured for 2005. Weasal, Agent Bishop, Zog, Prime Minister, General Blanque, Dynamo, and Ultimate Ninja are also likely to appear. Think about how many characters we got this year? Next year will probally be no different in size.

I think it had something to do with the Turtles having a lot of muscles.

Yeah, that was it, I think they called them "Ripped" Turtles or something.
