Fav Ultimate Title?

Which Ultimate title is your favorite? I really like U. X-Men and U. Spider-Man, but I think my favorite is U. Fantastic Four. I love the characters and the writing for these have been really good, as well as the art. I'm looking forward to U. Iron Man.

Not a big fan of any of them except for The Ultimates. Now there's a quality book.

I got like the first 4 or maybe 5 issues of The Ultimates then stopped. I didn't think that series was gonna take off. Did it become that good? I liked it when I read it...I just don't know why I stopped getting it.

As for the rest, I was never into X-Men all that much, but I read a good deal of Ultimate Spider-Man, up to the second issue of the Carnage stuff. I haven't been to the comic store in many many months.

Oh man, shoulda gone one more issue. Each arc is packed into 6 issues and has a true "cinematic" feel to it. The TPBs are some fine reading.

I like Ultimate X-Men, mainly because I've lost touch with all the other X books. It's a lot easier to get into a series when there isn't a lot of history or continuity to worry about.

Ha! My thaughts exactly! I love Spider-Man, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four, but I'm soo out of touch with the current titles, and there's been soo many weird stories and back history, that it's hard to just pick up anywhere. It also helps that the Ultimate titles have the "Previously in..." beginnings.

The only one I like is the ultimates, its really well written by mark millar, and bryan's drawings make it feel like its a movie.

I read the X-Men one. I like the whole starting over idea and Gambit has finally got a bigger role...with blowing Wolverine's face apart, hehe

Yeah, Ultimate Gambit was pretty cool. I just didn't like the way his hair was drawn in the last arc. It looked all... for lack of better words, "poofy." I couldn't take him seriously with all that hair.

After I had stopped buying American Superhero comic books, I tried to get into them again with "Ultimate Spider-Man". It didn't work though. I liked the series but not enough to spend that much money on it every month.

Yeah, originals are pretty expensive. A 3 US-$ book will be something around 3,20€ - 3,80€ here. Considering a € is about 1,30$, it's really a bit much. The translated versions are not that expensive. They always have two American issues in one book and cost around 3-5€.

I loved the start of the Ultimate X-Men. But then, ya know, got kinda dissapointed.

I stopped reading Ultimate books. I mean, sure I pick up Ultimate X-Men to check up on people. Thats it.

Yeah, Ultimate X-Men started with a bang and then it kinda slowed down. The newest story arc seems to be very promising, though.

Spoiler:
It's featuring Longshot and Mojo!!

And did I mention how much I love Dazzler in this book? She's kick@ss.

I read all of the Ultimate titles, and "Ultimates" is by far my favorite. It's just the most well developed and down to earth of the titles, IMO.
