Tales of the TMNT #6 *spoilers*
Hrmm.. just realized there wasn't a Discussion thread for this one yet. So I put it here.
I will admit I finally got this comic last week. (The pony was busy.. not to mention poor...) Very interesting, reading this backhistory on the mysterious Cha Ocho. But the thing that really made this comic great, of course, was the old TMNT Archie team. I loved the art and story! |

It was a god story. Tales is definately the superior of the two TMNT books out right now.
Good to see the origin of Ocho, I'll be interested in seeing where his character goes, whether it be in the main TMNT book or another issue of Tales. |

I didn't dislike this issue, but I wasn't very fond of it either.
I'm not sure how I feel about the new toon's Foot logo being used in the comic. Very minor I know, but still. Why the hell did they invite Cha to the lair? There was no point to it, and I didn't like how they revealed themselves that easily, especially considering Ocho was a Foot soldier. Leonardo lecturing Ocho on vengeance I thought was very stupid, considering the whole Shredder thing. The explanation Leo gave wasn't very convincing either. 'Whoo, we disagree on something. I hate him. ' Meh. Some backstory that turned out to be. And I might be the only one on this forum, but I was never that fond of Allan's art. Not saying it's bad, though. Not at all. And is Cha Ocho supposed to be Asian or African-American? They weren't very clear on that. Overall not a bad issue, and it was nice to finally hear what went down between Leo and Ocho. It's just that I expected a lot more of it.

Still, I liked the issue as a whole, and it was great to finally discover the history between Cha Ocho and Leo.

Its hard for it to be better that #5 cause it was a great story
but it was good besides leo's cuestionable behavior of inviting cha to the lair and then to "hurt" cha like that, kind of weird

I dunno. The way Leo was written, I actually wasn't too surprised when he cut Cha like that. I mean, he did behead the Shredder in the comics, and even the new 'toon. I'll agree with ya, though... it's a side of Leo we rarely see.
