Too many turtle varients! Sign of things to come?

Seriously, I went toy shopping today, what I saw scared me. First stop my local target. The only secondary character they had was a guardian. Then I was on my way to another target. They had one foot soldier, a couple of guardians and the rest were all turtles! I then went to TRS and not one secondary character. All they had were rows of each of the turtles!!! I couldn't believe it. I'm talkin about a whole entire aisle devoted to TMNT with only the turtles and their sibling action figures, nothing else!

You think they aremilking it little too much than usual with the varients or was today just a bad day for turtle shopping?

Yeah, it's strange... we're not as far ahead as you lot, but was already have quite a few different varients... even the first series of figures are in varient packaging now... they used to have their weapons packaged besides them, but now they're holding them... and Don only has one bo now...

I only have two variants. I have two of the Fightin' Gear turtles and those are the variants I have. I don't really care much for the variants. I'm tired of 'em.

I'm not gonna buy anymore Turtle variants unless I find somethin' I like. The variants make up half of the toy line if ya think about it. Its like Playmates wants to make variants for every wave of figures. I'm glad I only got two of 'em.

All these variants do save me a bit of money though. Transformers isn't exactly a line that's easy on the wallet so the more money I save on TMNT the better.

The only thing is that if the sales go down for the figurines because of the variants..they may stop making figurines or less of them.

Yeah... it would be nice to see TMNT figs in actual street attire. That would be great!

How would they make the hockey mask for those variants? Casey's hockey mask wouldn't go on the Turtles' face. On those epidsode the Turtles' hackey masks looked like they were the same size as Casey's.

The only varients I'd pick up would be ones from the show. I got Turtle Titan and I'm actually like that varient! As long as they appeared in the cartoon more than once and the turtles toy versions actually resemble them, I'd pick it up. Other than that...Na

No, this isn't a sign of things to "come"...this is a sign of things that are here now, and will only get worse from here. Which is why I've officially decided to stop collecting this line.

the only TMNT varients i have are the kids, and Turtle Titan.
I did get varients with some vehicles....the SWAT set and Raphie's shell cycle..
but i used those varients to make these 2 and make this cartoon....

Look it's 2 of our favorite 5th turtles....
