I'm not sure when this issue exactly takes place. The turtles were in an apartment type place, probably April's, and Klunk got out through a hole in the screen of a window, and got run over by a car. The story involves Michelangelo trying to save Klunk by taking him to a mystic healer.
Even though Klunk dies, it was one of the most insightful issues into Mikey's character and heart. |

One thing I will say about this one from the preview is that the art looks a lot better with Lawson inking it, it makes Talbot look like he was just tracing the outlines

I just read it.
Wasn't as gut-wrenching as I thought it would be. The death of animals is just about the only thing that can get a reaction out of me anymore (like that episode of Futurama, one of the saddest things I've seen in my life). However, this issue didn't envoke much emotion. I dunno why. Maybe because Klunk's death felt kinda "silly", with the crazy cat-lady and the cajun voodoo-guy. I dunno. It was a good issue, none-the-less. The best part was at the end, when Mikey finally realized what he was doing. "It's okay, nobody loves this cat. Just look at it." It was done very well. Not as heart-breaking as I was expecting it to be (which, I suppose, isn't really a bad thing), but still a good issue. |

I think it's out a few weeks "early" in some areas("early" being relative, since it's actually late everywhere since it was supposed to be out in March). It hasn't even been listed on Diamond Comics shipping list yet, which will say when the majority of comic shops will be getting it. I assume next wednesday will be the "real" shipping date for it.
