Toys

Yeah, I collect toys. And I think a lot of other people here do as well. I buy em for display.

Right now I'm just getting off my DC Direct kick and starting up on Marvel Legends. My DC Direct collection, as of right now, are:

Green Lantern Corps, and GL-related:

Hal Jordan (Rebirth wave 1), Kilowog (Rebirth wave 1), Ganthet and Guardian (Rebirth wave 1), Kyle Rayner (Justice League of America wave 1), Alan Scott (First Appearances wave 2), John Stewart (Green Lantern Corps wave 1), Parallax (Rebirth wave 1), Sinestro (Alex Ross' Justice wave 1)

The Flash family:

Wally West (Justice League of America wave 1), Jay Garrick (First Appearances wave 1), Bart Allen as Kid Flash (Contemporary Teen Titans wave 2)

Superman family:

Superman (Justice League of America wave 1), Steel (Reign of the Superman wave 1), Superboy (Contemporary Teen Titans wave 2)

Batman related:

Batman (Yamato wave 2), Nightwing (Hush wave 2), The Riddler (Hush wave 2), Two-Face (Child of Dreams wave 1), The Joker (Hush wave 1)

Other DC characters:

Deathstroke the Terminator (Contemporary Teen Titans wave 1)

DC Direct characters I want/need/gonna get:

Aquaman (Justice League of America wave 1), Batman (Long Halloween wave 1, cuz Yamato's Batman SUCKS), Poison Ivy (Hush wave 2), The Scarecrow (Hush wave 3), Captain Marvel (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies wave 1), Wonder Woman (Justice League of America wave 1), Wondergirl (Contemporary Teen Titans wave 1), Barry Allen (Crisis on Infinite Earths wave 2)

DC Direct toys I want but can't find anywhere:

Robin (Contemporary Teen Titans wave 1), Guy Gardner (Green Lantern Corps wave 1), Superman (First Appearances wave 2), The Psycho Pirate (Crisis on Infinte Earths wave 1)

My Marvel Legends collection is quite lacking, but I intend to fix that:

Spider-Man (Super poseable, from his own line), Venom (Spider-Man line), Nightcrawler (Marvel Legends), Dr. Doom (Marvel Select), War Machine (Marvel Legends), Ultimate Thor (Marvel Select)

The thing I like about the Marvel Legends is that they compliment the Sota Street Fighter toys quite well. I think I'll do some Marvel vs Capcom strips for my comic some time.

I have both waves of Sota's Street Fighter toys. So I got Ryu, Chun-Li, Sagat, Bison, Sodom, Ken, Cammy, T. Hawk, Vega, Blanka.

Then there's the one toy I want above all else. Swamp Thing (a GOOD one).

that's pretty cool.

I haven't picked up many toys recently, the last being Marvel Legends Ice Man.

Over all, a decent toy... but... i dunno. he just dosen't look right.

and i'm really disapointed in what the new TMNT line's become. i've pry been one of the most vocal people here about those disapointments too... the line started off being SO damned good

Yeah, the TMNT toy line went to hell in a handbasket. It was so cool at first, now it's just turning into the old line all over again. Ugh.

Hey, DrSpengler, can you post some pics of those Street Fighter and Marvel Legends toys? I spent a fu*king fortune importing all those Marvel vs games from Japan and the Street Fighter Zero series ect (including 3) and I'd like to see if those figures would look good with my Saturn/Dreamcast discs since I believe Marvel vs Capcom 2 to be the best fighter ever made. Been looking for some good figures for a while. Can you post some pics? Pleeeeeeease?

Agreed. Playmates just isn't trying anymore, and as I said before, I hope Laird takes the license from them and passes it to a decent company.

Anyway, I don't buy that many toys, mostly just TMNT figures (The latest figures I've found here were Turtle Titan etc., so we still have a couple of good ones coming up. However, with the way the line is going, I don't think I'll be getting many more figures after those) and if I see a cool looking action figure I'll pick that up too.

Star Wars Unleashed for me. They are probably the coolest looking figures ever made. And I have a few of those 1:6 WWI and WWI soldiers that various companies make.

Hmm, I own a Snake Plissken figure, was damn expensive to get. I paid at least 60 bucks for it. Then there's a gift I got, a Abby Chase. I also own a Lobo Plushie which is a very funny thing (including a plush meathook). Then there's some EVA-units. EVA 01 and EVA 04.

For me, I haven't been collecting much. The Star Wars: Clone Wars figures is about it. I basically didn't even start collecting the TMNT line. I got Mikey and Don and that was it. I wanted to get the Halo figures for awhile, but they're just so damn expensive, plus they're nearly impossible to find now.

I have a digicam, but no photobucket account or anything, so I wouldn't be able to post em. I could e-mail them to you, if you want. My e-mail accoutn only allows one attachement per e-mail, though. So it would be a bunch of e-mails.

I've put a couple in my webcomic,

http://mimtits.freefronthost.com/

Doesn't make much sense out of context with the other comics, but just look at the pictures.

DrSpengler, you can get yourself an account on Photobucket.com. It is a very reliable and easy to use imagehosting service.

Photobucket is a wonderful service, but I filled up the 25mb basic account already and had to delete some pictures.

You mean for registering? Everyone's pictures show up, and I've been adding/deleting pictures.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're definitely having some network problems. Photobucket is fine, and Penny-Arcade has always been up.

For those who like Batman, Hush Wave 3 just came out today. I picked up the Scarecrow (my favorite Batman villain) and his is awesome.

Also managed to find a Hush Wave 1 Batman to replace my crappy Yamato one. While I was at it I picked up Marvel Select Dr. Octopus. A good day for toys.

Yeah, I have a couple. Darth Maul, Dooku, Darth Vader, Yoda, Clone Trooper, Luke (Battle of Hoth gear) and Obi-Wan (AOTC version). I have yet to get any of the new ones. I saw Grevious a couple weeks back, but didn't have the cash to pick it up. I will eventually though.
