No worse than a Spongebob game.

Yeah, but Spongebob is actually popular. What 8 year old is going to want to buy a Popeye game?

Heheh... Popeye = Jump Man.

Why the hell is Namco making licensed games? They've got more talent then that...

Well, yeah, I'm sure the game'll be fun... but really, Namco's got enough talent that they should be able to make their own inhouse characters for this game.

Hmm... these screenshots remind me "Animaniacs" video game much. They would look much nicer in some sepia tone, though.

Why is Sega making Resident Evil clones and Matrix stuff? They've all cheaped out.

Would be great if it was the WWII era Popeye. Smashing German U-boats with one fist and destroying the entire Japanese fleet.

I remember the classic Popeye game for the NES, which was a coin-op first if memory serves me correctly. That was nice and fun, and the music was enjoyable.

I agree with Matt here. A Popeye game featuring some good ol' Axis-smashing from about 60 years back would be a more entertaining game.

I'll admit it...

Popeye was a game I had trouble with.

I mean, I ate the spinach, and I still got my ass kicked by Bluto.

Popye? You're saying that POPYE has his own MODERN VIDEO GAME for KIDS? I don't belive it! *goes to site* oh...well I'll have to belive it now why the hell would somebody make a Popye game? The only thing I've ever seen Popye related, other than the TV show, was a pinball machine that stole my cash. Who would buy a Popye game that wasn't a classic though?

Some people have no soul and just want money.
Idiot who came up with the game: *with cigar in mouth* Hey know what we should do? Make a Popeye game.
Board Member: Why? Popeye hasnt been popular in over a decade
Idiot who came up with the game: Your fired! Anyone else wanna question me?!
