Cryptic enough for you?

Anybody have any idea what this is? All of my local Wal*Marts have an empty peg for them. Obviously something with Fiber Optics...

Hmmm..thats is bizarre...never heard of anything fiber optic related with the tmnt...maybe they misspelled it...if thats the case, i still have no idea what they were trying to spell..

Maybe some type of mini night light/lamp? I've seen a lot of fiber optic lamps at WM recently.

Actually, I finally found out what it was this weekend:

Halloween costumes, in the toy department.

Ahhh..I think I've seen them...new costumes with the "Monsters" logo on the front I belive...

That Wal*Mart finally finished their reset. The full title was "TMNT Fiber Optic Muscle Costume." A TMNT costume with built in padded muscles, and apparently some Fiber Optics someplace. About 1/2 of the 3rd aisle of "boys toys" was taken up with costumes: TMNT, Spidey, Fantastic Four, Batman. Pretty nice company for a franchise that hasn't had a movie in 10 years.

Also, may I add that this is marketing brilliance? Christmas stuff is coming out already (crazy, I know...), and Wal*Mart never puts out Halloween until the Back-To-School mods come down. This way, costume companies can get some stock out early.

I saw these a month or so ago. On the costume, there's a TMNT logo on the chest I think. Press it and the outline changes color for a few seconds.

Yep, that would be the "fiber optic" portion of it...and I believe on the logo it has underneath a "Mutants and Monsters" logo as well..
