Get Rid Of A Creativity Block?

I have the worst creativity block I've ever had. I can't do anything! I can't edit video, draw, write, or do graphic art. It's driving me insane. I just can't find the inspiration for it. All I want to do is sit here and listen to music and talk to my girlfriend O_O Anyone have any ideas of how I could break this? I can't stand not making stuff. And for some reason I can't get myself to think and be creative. It's just not comming to me. I fell dull, boring, and mainly useless.

I get my signature picture inspiration by more or less watching videos. A lot of times I'll listen to a song or watch a video of a song and think, "whoa, that is badass! That'll make an awesome sig!"

Another thing to try is maybe expand your horizons and find inspiration that way.

Sugar works for me.

I churned out Jack Stryker after a whole box of gobstoppers and a can of coke

I don't know if this will help but, when I want to write but can't, I think about the characters and how they'd look, talk, act, etc. I also think about how I'd draw them. This floods into a visual of interaction with people, environment, and other things and I start writing out scenarios and dialogue.

Also, on the flip side, when I want to draw but can't, I think about how my would-be creation would get his/her/its origin. I'd come up with a biography and a name and anything else and write it down. Soon, I find myself drawing a thumbnail-sized portrait of the character then it evolves into a full-figure drawing.

It's kind of weird.

I too am in a creative funk. I was in the middle of songwriting, but am out of ideas.

My advice? I really don't have any...but good luck!

Try inviting someone to the art collaboration. That person can give you ideas to work on. It's really fun cooperating together on the short run. And sometimes on the long one too.

Having a creative block sucks big time. I know; I have them plenty of times.

When it comes to me, I just rely on my instincts and try to let it flow. For most beings, being creative takes time and often requires patience. For others, it's very convenient.

I suggest you relax and open up your mind even further before you take on another project. You'd be surprised at what you can find lurking inside your own head.

It happens, there isn't really anything you can do about it. You can't force yourself to be inspired. Just go do something else, eventually it'll come back to you.
