Anyone seen these? (TMNT candy & tattoos)

Hey guys,

I just located these in a store today while I was trying to do my Xmas shopping. It isn't a store I usually find anything related to the turtles so I was a bit surprised.

The pics are of the front and the back. I bought two sets because they were relatively cheap. They are just little candy sticks (like the Popeye ones for those of you who know what I am talking about) and you get a temp tattoo in each box.

I am going to get a few more boxes so I can have a temp TMNT tattoo at certain functions! =P Must convince people I am overly obsessed.

I just haven't seen them pop up on Ebay or anything so I was wondering if they were released in the states or not!

The pics are of the front (each has a different turtle) and the backs (has Foot, Splinter, Shredder, all four turtles)

Uh...

Got some for Halloween in little boxes, so these should be in the stores soon if not already.

Yeah... Just never saw them before when I ran into them at Inertia (tiny independent candy shop) so I didn't know how common they were. I am hoping to get more...

They are made in the States so I assume they would be on the market there. I am going to grab some more sets (a whole case if I can for the packaging).

Yeah Man, I Stuffed My Self Crazy In The Winter Of 2004. They Come With Tattoos As Well. They Were Selling Them For A Whole Season Last Year At $.75 A Box. This Is In My Neighborhood In The Bronx (nyc). I Got So Sick And Tired Of The Sticks Though, They Are Not The Highest Quality Of Candy. I Would Call Them "acid Sticks" Because Not To Long After I Would Eat A Box, My Stomach Would Burn (not All The Time). I Have All The Boxes And Tattoos I Collected Stashed Away. Ill Try To Get Pictures Of The Tattoos, But They Are Covered In A White Paper For Peeling While Tattooing. It Makes It Hard To See The Image.

Yeah... I loved the candy as a kid (the Popeye sticks that they sell at 7-11) but would never eat them now...

I bought a set to keep on display with the rest of the collection and another set to open and check out the tattoos.

The tattoos are the usual thing we see when they try to quickly put out more TMNT merchandise. The graphics are basically the ones from the playing cards. I even got a tattoo with Leonardo's name on it. Nothing extremely special, just recycled art.

But I hadn't run into them on Ebay so was just wondering... Sounds like they were desperate to clear them in NY.

Yeah, we've got tons of them around now... Along with the Ninja Turtle twisty straws... I got a few more sets (some for people) just to make sure they don't disappear on me!

It's probably due to seeing it repeteadly on every TMNT product, but is it just me or does the commercial art for the turtles start to look more and more bland everyday. Dooney used to be such an awesome artist too.

I Sure Am Tired Of It. Its Natural That It Becomes More Bland, I Agree. Thats Why When I See New Poses And Styles I Get Excited And I'm More Prone To Want It. They Should Reboot The Art.

For some reason, I really get that same feeling every time I see that same Mikey pose with nunchuck and him winking/smiling....

I wish they would do some new poses but I guess its more "cost effective" to just put more out of what ya got
