"Fast Forward" *Season 5 Spoilers*

I don't know how many of you are aware of this or not but Season 5 will feature the TMNT 99 years in the future. It's all part of an arc called "Fast Forward". Here are some rumors:

-NYC will be occuppied by numerous alien species
-Cody Jones, Casey's great grandson, will be their new ally
-the TMNT will be working with a group of "kids" to train them to fight
-it will last nearly the ENTIRE 5th season

I'm wondering is anyone else a little concerned that this storyline could cause the series to "Jump the Shark"?

as long as none of the turtles marry, that ugly Dino girl princess doesn't try to marry Mikey, the turtles don't become monsters and suffer..its ok with me

wait "they will train "KIds" uh oh..they had kids?

I like the Future Shark Triology lol Anyways I don't know about this. I don't see the point in it and last time the show shot into the future it got canceled O_O Oh well Future Turtles are awesome so I guess we gota wait and see.

The way you described it.....yeah, i'm afraid this isn't good for the TMNT...

IF they can pull it off, which I htink the writers will be able to do, then It should be cool...

but still.. the idea of a jump into the future doesnt' sit well with me, even if it ISN'T permanent...

still.. where did you find this info? is this even confirmed?

...He is either SERIOUSLY pulling our leg, or this show is finished, it looks like the season finale will be a rehash of "Search For Splinter Part Two" with a twist, instead of being transported through Space, there transported through time. Then, when they return to the present, Karai basiclly is running New York as The Shredder.

I wanna see one or all tmnt with some form of happiness, yes i mean a GIRL! they should be allowed to fall in love.

An e-mail was sent to Dan Berger from "Cyber Cubed" over at toonzone forums. CC is a VERY reliable source. Here's what CC says that Dan had to say:

"I e-mailed Dan Berger about it, and he said it was pretty much the entire season.

Gah, I hope that doesn't mean we won't see April, Casey, Splinter or any of the other characters for an entire season. That would suck.

The idea of the TMNT stuck in the future isn't exactly thrilling either, especially since the Future TMNT won't even be in most of it. And the "kids" that the TMNT will be training isn't reassuring either. "

I just realized how stupid the name "Fast Forward" Is for a story arc about going into the future is. Shouldn't it be called something else. Fast Forward makes me think we're going back in time....Anyways I believe this is Laird's way of using the new comics in the series.

I don't know if that will be any good.I mean a few episodes in the future is ok, but an entire season?? Besides it's kinda said to see that Karai won, that may mean our turtles died or where killed. You know Raph went first cause he looks like he would of died first.

Wasn't there an episode already where Don was zapped into a demestion where Karai had won as well and successful killed the turtles?

That was Same As It Never Was or whatever it was called. Don ended up in some cliche "Shredder conquered the world" future and pretty much everyone ended up getting killed one way or another. Ugh.

This Fast Forward stuff does not sound promising, no sir.

Now, FF could be interesting, because if we think even further into the future, there could be way more drama.

In FF, the TMNT train kids, and I bet one's called Zach, so they're obviously interacting with a sort of society, even if it's small. Basically, their "We're all on our own" thinking gets cracked. So, now they come back and need to be back on their own, no society, alone again. This could be Mikey's season.

Anyhow, I see that this could be bad, but it doesn't need to be.

Well... like I said before, I don't like hte idea of a jump into the future, but I have to say that I"m willing to wait and watch this, because I have faith in the writers... We've remarked often that they've very skilled, and that the storyline has improved with each passing season... so there may be a chance that they would be able to pull this off...

Still... when I saw that the info came from toys, I was like.. bah.. then it'll never happen in the show! cuz if i'm not misstaken, the toys sometimes doesn't match the show at all...

Then I saw that Dan confrimed this info, then I was disappointed....

DO you think that the way Zarius described it may make the new series tie in with the upcoming movie? THe movie, as far as I can tell, may be about City At War (inferring from the various speculations made on this forums) and so maybe the TMNT come back to see that Karai have taken over the city, and they have to wage a war against the city in order to make some sort of peace with her?

This season 5 might be a downer-if the turtles in the future died and their children or new kids took over in honor of the turtles.

I mean present can change future at anytime,what if it results to having to kill Karai in order to protect the turtles in the future?
