OMG...

These caps come from "Turtle Turncoat" - a fancomic made by Tony Day. You can view it online, as it is a webcomic Tony is a member of the Drome, actually. Here's "his" thread:

http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=13544

I wonder if he knows about those ytmnds using his artworks...

There is one by "TokyoPop", but it just follows the new toon storyline. Besides, they hardly have any to make a roll of toilet paper with Besides, they have the characters mixed up. I made a link about it before. I'll see if I can find it....

There apparently has been a TMNT manga back in the mid 90s or so but I think it's out of print. I've been to plently of Japanese bookstores and have never found them.

http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/manga.htm - if anyone's interested in that mid-90s manga samples.

As for the ytmnd- it's definitely Tony Day's work. The first link is based on page 25, the second - page 44. The last one is based on the page that was rejected from the official plot but still can be viewed in the prototype section of Tony's site.

I check eBay for em every now and then. They never show up.

If I could get my hands on some I'd do a translation like I do for the 80's Transformers manga at www.tfarchive.com

I believe those YTMND pages are our very own ZariusTwo's handywork, if I'm not mistaken.

So, three of the Japanese ones were released of that wierd "Saint Seiya"/ Wolverine copycat series?

The ones that are adaptions of the TV show (the American one, right?) sound interresting... those shorts at the end with the saggy, idiot Shredder look fragging hilarious!

That would be VERY cool.

I checked every CD/Book Off store and smaller bookstore I could find while I was in Japan last summer, but no luck finding any TMNT manga. Can't say I'm too surprised. The stuff was from the late 80's and early 90's, and to my knowledge, was only reprinted once in the mid 90's in the form of a box set containing the entire series.

The stuff's probably super-rare, even in Japan.
