Oroku Saki statue

Weird question, but is it just me or has the Oroku Saki statue shrunk between episodes?

They may be two different statues, since each picture is in a different location, I think.

*nods*

Its a difference in perspective. Karai's standing right in front of it on the first picture, but in the second, she's a considerable distance away.

*wonders if there's some sort of importance to the statue, symbolic or literal?*

Yeah. Both pictures look the same to me.

In the nature of statues, there's some definite symbolism going on. For one thing, that thing looks like it's made of jade. An impossibly huge hunk o' green jade. In east asian culture, jade is very important. Jade is often felt to be more valuable than diamond. The material is imbued with all the good qualities you can possibly think of, including righteousness itself.

Ya know? I wouldn't mind if they made a toy of that. It'd be cool.
