Preview of Vol 4 #26 is up!

Michelangelo escapes from prison only to run into a band of Triceraton commandos. DOH!

Metalhead battles the Guardifriend. GOO Metalhead!

Leonardo arrives in the Battle Nexus. The cover shows Leo entering the Battle nexus and being confronted by... weopons...DOH! But it seems he's getting a tour so uh yea.

I love how the covers are all action packed then you open the issue and it's just something lame like guards making sure it's the right guy comming though....

Why is Laird putting stuff from the Toon into the comic? Gah...

The Triceratons are back? Just when you think they're gone, they come back. I hope Mikey's situation picks up more. I like his arc the most, now that he's actually going to get some action (hopefully, that can't be a guarantee seeing as how slow-paced this title is). And Leo gets a tour through Battle Nexus? Just when you think he'll get some action, too, he gets a tour. This title is becoming more sci-fi-ish with every release. I really want the ninja aspect of our Ninja Turtles to shine through with this title.

To make the comic more closely connected to the cartoon and vice versa? Whats' wrong with using the battle nexus? It led to one of the weakest storylines in the shows' history, but the concept was never the fault of that

I just think it's weird how in the show the TMNT discover it by following Splinter and going against his wills to stay in the lair. They questioned what he was doing and were intrested. But in the comic it isn't until after his death that Leo finds the scrolls and enters the place by himself. I would assume the TMNT in the show and the comics have the same personality and they do*Except the ones in the comic are more mature* So it was just odd that it took the TMNT so long to discover the Nexus.

But I guess since it was an idea made for the show Laird had no choice but to add it to the story that way. But if I were him I would have had a Tales Issue that takes place around the time when the TMNT are younger and they follow him in like in the show. But that's just me. It is nice to see the story told two different ways for the Nexus, it just seems weird that the TMNT never discovered it earlier.

I just read the issue. Some very cool plots seem to be in development, mainly with Mikey and Leo. I really wish though that the main cast could get back together (geograpically) so we can maybe focus on a story for more than 5 pages or so, before we have to jump to the next story.

The cover for #27 looks sick! Mikey in Triceraton battle gear and a Triceraton triple nunchuck going into battle with 3 Triceratons at his side. Hopefully we get some action!

A pretty good issue.

We had to forgo any developement on Raph or Don's story, but we got longer segments for Shadow, Leo and Mike. So that's cool.

The language bug seemed a bit convenient but I'll take that any day over stories where the TMNT go into outerspace and meet...oh...let's say a race of Triceratops aliens who just so happen to speak fluent English without explaination.

So yeah, it wasn't so bad.

Hopefully it won't take too long to get to the Battle Nexus tournament, if that is indeed the direction Laird intends to go with this.

The Shadow segment I felt was the weakest, if only because I really care nothing for the character of Shadow and couldn't give a s*** if the Guardifriend drowned her or mutilated her. I do like Metalhead, though, so it was cool to see him again.

Mike's segment was probably the best. At least he's making some decent progress with his dilemma.

All-in-all it was a rather "okay" issue. Next issue has Don being menaced by a cat. Could either be entertaining or horribly cliched. We'll find out.

Incidentally, Laird said he had a lot of trouble writing #27 and that it might be an entire MONTH late.

Let's hope it's worth it.

Though, if Laird is really going to take a 6 month-long vacation, I guess *one* enxtra month to wait for an issue isn't too bad.

Unless Karai and the foot start playing a bigger role in later issues. It's mainly gonna be sci-fi.

And to Zarius: I don't see how you can say the Battle Nexus was week. It had some great and amazingly animated action scenes. Plus, it set up the Return of the Ulitame Ninja 5 parter, and Grudge Match, one of the best episodes in the series.

Great Issue!!! Ok this issue it's the one...it's got me excited about the comic again I was just also really freakin' happy to find any issues of tmnt at the comic shop lol it's always so hard here in los angeles!
Mikeys Triceraton story looks to be great I can't wait to see them talk about everything!
I'm also gonna have to say this version of the Battle Nexus looks as if it could be way better and more interesting than the cartoon is!
I'm glad Metalhead killed that damn robot! It was soooooo freakin' annoying!
I can't wait to see where Shadows story goes.
So was anyone else able to read the battle nexus guys language...all you have to do is flip it upside down. I really enjoyed that allot I hope they do it more often with aliens in the comic!
Great job Peter Laird! But I still must say I'm still not happy with Jim's art...

We just might get to see the ninja ass-kicking action we always loved about our Turtles. Leo's in for the fight of his life (literally), and the cover for next issue looks like Mikey's finally get some action as well. Is it me or does it look like he's teaming with the Triceratons? Crazy idea, but it just might work.

I'm glad this series is finally picking up. Sucks to see my Turtle getting chased by a damn cat.

This issue was boring. It was Mikey and Leo only, walking, eating, and talking, oh and he got stuck by a bee. BOOOORRRING. Im not looking for action packed brawls. but a whole issue of this is boring. they showed two covers for 27(which is later than usual according to Laird) and one looks like Donny will be featured.

Finally was able to read this issue.

1: Ok so for Leonardo...for the rest of his life he's gonna be able to understand every language cuz he was stung by a translator bee??? That seems a wee bit convienient there.

2:Mike... mmm...alien corn....

3: Is it just me or does Metalhead remind anybody else of a butler?? "Yes Miss Shadow. Whatever you say Miss Shadow...." It's like he's a mutant version of Jarvis or something.

I picked up this issue today and I thought it was great. That was creative for the when the alien spoke in his native language, you had to flip to book upsode down to see what he was sayin'. I'd really like to see that happen more often. Anyways, I like what they're doin' with Leo's adventure cuz it makes me wonder how the Battle Nexus will differ from the cartoon version. Metalhead's rescue really got my attention and I'm glad he disposed of Guardifriend cuz I can tell that character got annoying for Shadow real quick. The only things I didn't like about this issue were two typos (I dunno if anyone else came across those) and the fact that it was twenty seven pages which is shorter than usual. I guess they decided to do this cuz Don's adventure wasn't included in this issue.

I just got my issue today.

Since they don't carry them in Hawaiian comic shops anymore, I must order them direct from Mirage...

...who would of thought his little "swim" with a princess would bring so much trouble. If he ever gets home, he should stop by the dentist and get a gold tooth. Flava Flav !!!

Metalhead is pretty cool! Don't mess wit the hair!! I for one am glad Shadow is alive. I don't know why so many people hate her. Grant it she WAS a total brat. Her attitude totally changed after the time she spent with Splinter. All teenagers go through a phase where they are totally obnoxious and rude for no good reason. Everyone should give her a break.

Leo story is getting better and better. He sure does talk aloud to himself alot

Splinter facing opponents in the Battle Nexus and his sons never knew about! I think I would be disappointed if my mom hid her accomplishments from me. I would want to be a part of her victories! I hope Leo fights in the Battle Nexus! He would kick butt! One thing said during the conversation between Leo and the tour guide dude is bugging me...

Leo: So...what is the Battle Nexus, exactly...?

Tour Guide: Eh? you...you don't know? Then ...why are you here?

Leo: Um...I believe my Master once came here...and I'm hoping to find answers to some...

Tour Guide: Why don't you just ask HER, then?

Leo: Well...HE'S dead..

Why did the tour guide dude assume Leo's master was female? Am i reading too much into this. I doubt it is a typo! Hopefully the next issue might answer this...
