Supergirl Volume 5

Kittie's signature inspired me... sue me.

Supergirl has a new own series, brilliantly drawn and with a decent story. So far, they're still in the introduction story arc.

Kara's under constant surveillance by Superman and Batman, mainly because Supes is worried about her. But since she's the Maid of Steel, there's no real reason for worrying. But not only they are watching, so is the Calculator, you know, the "evil Oracle"? They're trying to find out what her powers are and how strong she really is. And Lex Luthor with his battle-armour is in it. And he has Kryptonite knuckles... and the mysterious black Kryptonite.

The art is really amazing and Kara never looked so good. The story hasn't quite finished and so I can't say anything about it. I just thought that it was a bit cheesy that she meets every DCU-character in the first three issues.

So, how do you like the new Supergirl? What's the deal with her and Power Girl? What exactly does Black Kryptonite do?

I actually just went today to go pick up issue 5.

The bastards sold old yesterday.

I love it so far. I've always had a soft spot for Supergirl ever since i was little. Probably the first comic I ever remember reading was a Daring Adventures of Supergirl in the early 80s. (I actually own almost the entire run of the 80s Supergirl!)

This version of Kara is becoming my favorite, and quick. I loved Matrix/Linda alot and thought I was going to have trouble accepting a new Kara Zor El, but Man they proved me wrong.

I also loved the Matrix Supergirl's costume the best, untill this version. it made the halfshirt/micro mini skirt look kind of classy.

Oh, they're sold out? Dammit. But it's a good issue. It wraps up the first storyarc and GothSupergirl is in it and reveals the origin of this Supergirl.

I still wonder what Black Kryptonite does though.

They are special ordering me a copy of it, so I should hopefully have it by next week or so. I'm gonna go crazy in the meantime. I totally dig evil Supergirl. The black and silver costume is so bad ass.

Black Kryptonite was introduced in Smallville, it essentially neutrolised Clarks' "Kal-El" side when he was possesed by Jor-El, repressing his more developed kryptonian abilities barrs the ones already accesable

I've read issues two and three (the TT crossover and the Outsiders crossover with her fight against Lex) and loved it!

Two words: Dark Supergirl! (I take it she's evil? I thought it was cool that she was a seperate entity from Kara, does it stay that way?)

I'm waiting for the graphic novel to be released.
