TMNT Article

No, this isn't an article about the latest new episode or merchandise. Its an article I wrote in Leonardo's defense and see it through HIS side of the story for a change.

I wrote a previous article about another character who's not very well liked amongst the Danny Phantom community, Sam Manson.

I decided to strike another blow for the Leonardo fans, also.

I have a habit for getting attatched to characters that everybody dislikes, mostly because of over-zealous fanatics (no offense, guys) who can't type and complaining how he or she is standing in their way of their favorite couple or whatever. Those kind of people make me angry.

Since this is about a character, I guess you would call this one fanfiction.

Therefore, it's strange you wrote an article about Leo instead of Baxter Stockman, for instance.. Leonardo has his own stable and not-so-small fandom. As for Baxter... well, I haven't met a single TMNT fan who liked him. Everyone hates both old toon and new toon versions.

But the article is quite nice.

Baxter Stockman...another over-looked character. I haven't studied behind his psychology and his reasoning behind his insanity, since they hardly covered Baxter's past. Its kind of a mystery. *cracks knuckles* Perhaps I can look into it, once I finished another article about the Ghost Zone (a location in the cartoon series, Danny Phantom).

I kinda like Baxter Stockman. His humor kind of reminds me of Frieza from Dragon Ball Z.

I should've research furthur, though. I kinda liked Leonardo in the old series. The guy really needs to lighten up though. *kicks Leonardo in the butt* Sorry, he needed that.

He wouldn't be that bad if he wasn't that annoyingly immortal in the New Show.

I'll try and gather as many episodes of the TMNT I can into one, tiny DVD (yay for DVD recorders!) although I am missing several episodes and one of the episodes contained a blech recording due to the nasty weather (stupid satelite). I just hope Cartoon Network puts them in reruns instead of removing them again.

Thanks. If I'm gonna start writing fanfiction, I want to start fresh to brush up on my grammar skills. Speaking of grammar...*groans as she holds out a grammar guide and flips through the pages*

this was well written. I like that you supported your points. Props to you, however i wasn't aware that leo had the smallest fanbase. I was pretty sure he was popular. If i'm wrong can someone clear me up on that?

Leo and Raph are the whores of popular TMNT what are you talking about. Don's the one with the smallest fan base -_-

*sweatdrop* Well, I've read that Donatello has a pretty large fanbase. Its Michaelangelo and Raphael who also have rather large fanbase also.

In fact every one of them has its own large fanbase... 'tho I think Raph has the most rabid fans, as he is the easiest one to associate with.

*shrugs* I'm not sure. I've always liked Raph, OT Raph was the funniest one, and I liked him for that, NT Raph is the dark realist and I kinda like him too, but Donnie's come to the fore front to me too and I've put him in a tie with Raph as my fave turtle, followed by Mike then Leo. I always thought OT Leo was to flat and one dimentional and that the New Leo has kinda stolen the show. And SB, I dunna, I think all 4 of them have some rabid fanatics. I've known Leo fans who won't let 2 cross words be said about the guy with out lashing out. *shrugs*

I will never understand why people are acting like this because of a cartoon-character and I've never heard of such a behaviour before.

Sad thing is, after the 2nd season the new toon is over again here in germany, but till then, I had the feeling that Leo isn't the main character and maybe shares leadership with Don.

I could be wrong, but I saw it like this.

I like how Leo delegates and relies on the other boys for imput. A good leader would do that, and not just act unilaterally...There's one thing I like about Leo, he realizes that they are a team and all member have a contribution.
