Splinter Woodpecker?
On Jeopardy tonight I learned that Woody Woodpecker had nephews named Splinter and Knothead. Well whoever did the research didn't do it well cuz I did some research to find pictures of em and found out that they originally were 2 male Woodpeckers named Splinter and Nuthead who Woody saved....months later they werre retconned as Woody's niece and nephew. Splinter being the niece! Seriously! There's a female Woodpecker named Splinter!
 Now apperantly Splinter was in the Woody Woodpecker animated series but alas I've only seen the earlier stuff and nothing with Winnie (Woody's GF), Knothead or Splinter (apperantly there was a Woody Woodpecker animated series on Fox Kids? )Here is an image of Splinter:
