It was a weird surprise.

But if they paid the crazy fee for the song, I kinda wish they'd have done more with it.

Funny stuff, though. Hell, funny episode. That Noid-gag was solid gold.

What I don't get i how come they can use the theme but it couldn't be used in the TMNT games.

I can only hazard a guess, but Family Guy just wanted to use it once, while the game would play it on constant repeat, indefinately. The pirce for the song might be substantially higher in Konami's case.

All a guess, though.

I think you need a different copyright license for putting it in a commercial broadcast vs. using it in a video soundtrack.

Were they supposed to be watching TMNT on TV? Because that could simplify things significantly.

yeah i cought it too. was like "O.O *points at tv*" and my bro started laughing

as for paying fee's for it, isnt there some rule where you can use 10% of a song without paying and have it be legal?

well, FOX did get a license from Nickelodeon to use real "Ren & Stimpy" footage in "The Simpsons" , the credits of the same episode even mention the "Ren & Stimpy" copyrights!

A little earlier in the episode Brian was peeking through the motel room wall trying to get some dirt on Mayor west. He wanted to prove he was corrupted because he got a 400$ ticket for parking in a handicap space. he was on the bed just watching cartoons. Even earlier in the episode we found out that meg got a job working as an intern for Mr. West. While Brian was atching him, Meg walked into the room. later on in the episode, they were back in the motel room, still watching cartoons, and the old theme came on. It was the very beginning, and only repeated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" twice.

It's just a small reference, do you have any idea how complicated your circulatory system is?

Was it just me, or was Seth dead on in the Kermit impersonation... he had the Speach patters down pat.

I'm joyful, yet a tad disappointed that the only TMNT refference is something like that. A great nod, but I'da loved to have seen something provacative happen, like what they do with the Smurfs smurfing Smurfette, or Cookie Monster freebasing cookie dough... or even something weird like Optumus Prime at a synagogue (sp?)...

But it's something. I'm still waiting for a Mario refference to close up the 80's jokes they do....

yea I'm sure I wasn't the only person who thought in the episode when the family was running from the law because of loises stealing when they where running through the sewers of china town that the turtles would have been there but they went with the goonies...I was very dissapointed..

What series is it, cause Season 4 is out tomorrow in the UK
So hopefully it'll be on that cause if seen every episode of Family Guy at least twice and seen the movie but no TMNT "cameo"
