Plot: a Foot Mystic resurrects the colony worms that were used to clone Shredder and manifests them into a huge amphibious creature thing that kidnaps Splinter and puts a reversing spell on the Turtles causing them to become the opposites of themselves. In other words, Leo is a goof, Mikey is all serious, Raph is a wimp, and Don is a dumbass.

I'd add what are they? Obviously not humans... and why do they have the right to judge ninjas and choose acolytes? I mean, they have wooden ninja defenders and can cause stairs to appear in the air, they aren't humans

I think the majority of these questions will probably be answered in due time, mind you. I'm sure we will see the return of the Rat King, Professor Honeycutt and Klunk, and an explanation for Stockman's eerie new outfit (if "Insane in the Membrane" ever actually airs).

I wouldn't be so sure. Shredder and Baxter "died" several times with no result. Someone who breathes with nitrogen and sulfur might have survived that explosion.

Yeah but they brought Shredder and Baxter back so many times even though they're dead in the comic book. I think Maybe Zog might be the one character who stays dead.

Plus, there's pretty much no point at bringing him back.

Agreed... this is the result of all those repetitive "monster" episodes. I mean, the Atlintian storyline was thankfully completed, but that one about the two alien women fighting for control over their planet? A pretty good story, but it went nowhere, and was aired at an inappropriate time along side other similar storylines.

I had hoped that after the TMNT series was over, 4Kids would do a series based on UY, since the episode where Leo went into his world was so well done. My hopes are probably going to be dashed like hell, but I really hope they would. I mean, how much Winx/Bratz crap toy infomercials can they keep running?

Those monster episodes are some of the best episodes. That's what Peter Laird does best, those sci-fi alien and monster stories, which are basically a big part TMNT mythos.

The story your refering to, The People Choice, was an issue in the first volume of the comic and technically happend before Return to New York, while the TMNt were still recovering in Northampton. I'd say considering how the season started, it was a pretty good time to air it.
