Favorite TMNT Origin Story

All of them are similar*And I'd be scared if they weren't* but each of them has their own style and something different to add. So I ask, what is your favorite TMNT origin?

Mines the Mirage comic...

EDIT:I wanted to add a poll to this but I messed it up sorry...

its not my favourite, but i like that in the movie origin splinter scarred shredder's face whilst the shredder chopped off part of splinter's ear.

What would you like the poll options to be? I (or one of the other staff members) can still add it to the thread.

As for me, my favorite origin is the one from the classic cartoon (no big surprise ).

Mine is a toss up between the movie and the comics. I prefer comics because it set everything in motion, and as far as its concerned, Shredder was not directly involved with the creation of the turtles. (Other than their ninja training - First comic.)

I think the polls should be:

Comics - While transporting some of their final supplies to the TCRI building, Blind man + Truck Dodging him = Canister falling out of the back and hitting the jar of turtles. Rest is history.
89 Toon - Shredder aquires the ooze from Krang and sends it down into the sewers to either kill or intentionally mutate Yoshi.
Movie - Discarded chemicals were accidently mixed together and created the ooze.
03 Toon - Shredder Causes Utroms to crashland on earth, and the Utroms accidently create the ooze as a byproduct of their attempts to build a transmat to send them back home.

The old series origin was the best! I liked the idea of Splinter being a man before he became a rat. I don't like the rat mimicking ninja moves thing, that's just stupid.

I like the whole 1987 version of: Shredder aquires the ooze from Krang and sends it down into the sewers to either kill or intentionally mutate Yoshi.

Also like the, Splinter was the ninja master Yoshi instead of a pet rat better. The one thing I didn't care for even as a kid was the whole simplified "what ever animal you touch first you mutate into" was pretty lame.

Although it does appear that the writter where trying to cover their asses, with this formula of mutation. Splinter out right says in the first episode that the mutagent mutates you in the animal you had the most contact with rather than the one you most recently touched.

But if this was the case shouldn't Splinter have mutated into a Turtle/rat hybred instead of just a rat, since he had alot of contact with both?
