Great interviews, I hadn't read them yet.

There was something that caught my eye though, in the interview with the producer. He said that they had to nix on ninja-stars for the people in G.B. which is... understandable, because there are some TMHT fans over there, but they were talking about Mikey's 'chucks not being accepted by Scandanavia...

See, the irony is that Sweden wasn't a fascist power in WWII, but now they are! --Okay, bad joke, but the fact remains that they shouldn't downplay the main weapon of a fourth of the team, you know? It'd be like The Fantastic Four: The Human Torch doesn't turn into a blaze because Spain doesn't like fire, you know?

As a matter of fact, doesn't Finland get the new TMNT cartoons? How did they work around that? I'm actually kind of curious. Well, I hope that they release it with the use of Mikey's 'chucks here in the US, and in the Scandanavian release, superimpose a set of hardened cold cut links accordingly.

I got really excited, when they were saying that they were nervous, because of how close the movie is to a pg-13 mark.

LIke here, CA...can't have chucks, but ya can have ultra sharp blades....go figger...

They are going for a certain rating, and that's the only reason. Think of it this way: shuriken gone means room for else "dangerous" added. If Gray hadn't said something nobody would have missed them!

Come on people now, smile on your brother... :p

With a simple downward swing, without much force applied, a nunchaku can completely shatter a full, hard coconut, which I believe is harder than a human skull. Also, the danger exists for both the user and the person on the other end. If one's not properly trained, it's a loose canon.

Being Swedish, I can pretty safely say that I'm almost entirely certain that he wasn't talking about Sweden.

Yea, I think he was actually speaking more of maybe Finland.. and Norway.

So how did the TMNT get popular in Scandanavian countries which banned Nunchaku? Did they basically censor Mikey, did they superimpose a different weapon? What?

Well, I'm not sure, but I think he had grappling hooks or something in late seasons of the old cartoon, and he had tonfas in next mutation.
