You gotta understand that still pictures will ALWAYS look better than animation just because they ARE still. When a picture is still, you have time to add more detail to a picture/graphic and the viewer has time to see it all as well. So yes, I did happen to notice that.

Keep in mind the video was that good quality as it would be on TV and it was much darker..

Me too.
And i agree with rez, a pic from the show itself will probably never look as good as a still one since they put a lot of detail in it (since it's just 1 picture, it'd take too much time to put lots of detail in every single frame of the toon)

I was still extremely impressed. Like I said, there is a close up of Leo's face that looks straight out of the comic. More jagged cheekbone, and upper lip over lower lip with teeth grilling through.

well from what i've seen so far, i guess they have decided to go with the turtles each being a different shade of green like in the later sketches, which is cool.

Yep I noticed the different shades of green , just like the old and new toys, but the differents is not as big in the cartoon, and thats good I think

After all when they were just ordinairy turtles they were all the same sort

I think it's neat how this time around each turtles' weopen has those mask colored bands. But the only thing I don't understand is, why don't they do that for the toys?

What can I say, from what I've seen, the new series looks great! Anyone notice that Don seems to be carrying a bag slung across his shoulder? Or am I just seeing things? At first I thought it might just be his belt, but I don't think so.

So, I'm not the only one who saw it! Okay, but what it is? I mean, why does he have it? He's never carried a bag before...

Don's bag

Yeah, I noticed Donny's bag too. I was wondering if maybe he will carry around a bunch of little gadjets and tools or something.

That's what I thought it would be for, or maybe weapons. Maybe he's got a bag full of shuriken! Heh heh...

they aren't "nerdy" weapons, just well-thought out, planned-out... *thinks* okay, they're nerdy. Dang, and he was my favorite one. Come to think of it, he still is.

Weapons aren't the only things ninja carry. They have many, many tools they use. Like lock picks, smoke bombs, that cool security camera fooling frame thing. Climbing gear, calthrops, I could go on forever. And of course a good deal of practical electronic gear.
