Tales 28! wahey!

got it yesterday, a fun quirky little story i thunked...

i liked how raph and cha ocho are drinking in the same bar, with cha going "i know your brother" (or something - i'm in work and cant remember it exactly) and raph saying leo woulda been making one of his 'points', reffering to cha's scar... was quite funny... and when they're falling from the ship, cha say's something like "lucky you've got that shell" and raph's saying "yeah but it gives me extra weight" as he's snapping the clothes line...

si give it a DOUBLE THUMBS UP!!

I didn't think it was a particularly good issue, compared to last month's and issue 26 I thought it was pretty weak.

Cha Ocho is one of the lamest characters to come out of the Mirage TMNT fiction in recent years. So, naturally, an issue centering around him and Raph is going to be pretty boring. The most entertaining part of the issue, Cha and Raph just hanging at a bar, is quickly cut short by a ridiculous plot about alien robots harvesting human beings for unrevealed purposes. The ending is rather disappointing, with Raph so completely uninterested in the horrible fate awaiting the captured humans that it just seems out of character. The back-up story, “Channeling”, is much more interesting. Another Raph focus piece, this time about Raph channeling his rage toward Mike’s sarcastic quips into his fighting. The ending has a nice bit of self-referential humor, and it’s definitely the stronger story of the two. Still, overall, not a very good issue.
I thought it was a pretty lame issue, personally.

I really dug this issue. Not my favourite issue, but it was a very entertaining read. I have a feeling that with two heavy hitting stories on the way (29 and 31 - not sure about 30) and the April one before it, a breather issue really was in order. Either way, a very fun read!

It was a cool issue. Though the ending was a little dark, and funny at the same time. The back up story was awesome.

Bar scenes seem be work very well in comics ^^

I felt bad for the humans (inc Cookie) who did'nt escape like Raph and Cho did. They seemed to have shrugged it off and went for another pint. Ninja Pub Crawl.

Why feel bad for cookie? she was just a costume disguise, worn by one of the robot creatures.

I read this issue yesterday and I thought it was decent. The artwork by Steve Rolston was kinda bland for me. Still, the plot was pretty original and the writing was ok. Next month's issue: it looks like it'll be better than this one, which I hope it is.

Anyways.. Got this issue today. It was a bit amusing in that Raph and Cha Ocho became bar buddies. But I have a feeling that won't be the last time we see those light bulb alien things.

The 2nd story with Raph channeling all his anger on a robot and fuming about Mike was funny as all heck.
Mike: "What were you fighting with??"
Raph: "Dunno. Course we don't know half what we fight!"
