The most emo song ever?

Anyone remember that Papa Roach song, "Last Resort?" I watched the video out of nowhere today, and listening to the lyrics, it's....so emo. Oh, and it's uncut, so be warned of the language. And yes, I know the real definition of emo. This is just out of boredom and entertainment.

Thoughts?

But unlike most of those cry babies out there, this dude really had a f*cked up life. If you've got an actual reason to be angry and angst-filled, be my guest. If you're whining about nothing, get lost.

I have to hear them everyday at work, That stupid love song. Gah I hate these glam rock bands. Linkin Park is worse. They bleed emo.

To Peanuts post, you can make awesome music about a messed up life. Being angry doesn't mean singing a ballad. It can be aggressive. Like Children Of Bodom, or Slayer if you will.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of cry baby goth music; Papa Roach and Linkin Park being two of my main offenders.

I try to avoid them whenever possible, but with the amount of radio time dedicated to them, it isn't easy.

Good Charlotte are also rather emo, they complain A LOT in their music (omg we got picked on in high school! omg celebrities are too rich!), but they do it in a more upbeat manner. Which is confusing.

Papa Roach was one of the first CDs I bought. And until "Getting away with murder" I bought every CD they brought out. And yes, I do know the lyrics by heart.

See, I have nothing against emo music when it's presented in an acceptable form. And Papa Roach manages to do that. Unlike other bands like Dashboard Confessional and Muse and Dover. Those suck. Papa Roach is good.

With a name like Jacoby Shaddix I think I would be angsty and hate filled too. But thanks Lain, for reminding me how much I hate that song and Papa Roach altogether.
