Stupid Action Figures...

Hey everyone. Tonight I went our local (read: closest) Toys-R-Us to see what kind of Marvel Legends stuff they might have. (I'm on the look-out for the chase Spider-Woman and Iron-man vs. Mandarin.) While there, I saw an "action figure" (you would have to use the term very loosely) that made me go . It was from the "Rocky" movie action figure series. Amongst the Adrians and the Paulies there were a pair of "The Meat"s. That's right, the Rocky figure series has an actual figure devoted to a side of beef that Rock pummeled....give me a break!

Pictures to follow. (Thank God for camera phones...)

Sweet, I'd love a Rocky figure. Hopefully it's pretty cool.

But I'll pass on "The Meats", haha...

"Mommy, I want the side of beef action figure..."
"Ok, honey. It only makes sense, I mean Rocky used it to train...right?"

Wow that's weird. You would think they would have a Rocky figure packaged with the meat. That's really strange, "the meat"..... LOL.

As an extra item, its not so bad. But as figure its terrible. However, the meat has gotten people to talk about this line and possibly generated some interest in it. Word of mouth might be golden for this toy line, as there are no commerical (that ive seen) promoting it. Anybody picking them up? If i were to get one, i think i would want a toy of Apollo.

now if i could find that meat i'd be one step closer to completing my seral killer/meat locker dalorama any way i get the wierdest thing i've ever seen in action figure was also the coolest i was in my hometown wal-mart looking for gifts/things for me and i saw this weapons pack,

it was for elite forces a 12in joe knockoff line that had very cool star-wars size WWII figures (also had a very cool Stuka dive-bomber for the 3.5in line wish i could find it again)anyway the weapons pack was heavy weapons theme so the usel was their m-60 m-240 m-60 with shotgun attaiment.........wait what i mean it's cool their trying different things but this...maybe in gi joe but in real world combat i think not i was going to buy it but had no money maybe i'll see it there next time

Yeah most stores sell out of rocky figures but have a couple meats hanging around. My brother has all of series 1 (including the meat, but he had to get it as he bought the entire case online since he couldn't find the figures in stores) and I went to TRU today and they had the Rocky 2 figures out (and had actually sold out of the meat... weird). It's a good toy line for the most part, but yeah $10 for a piece of meat... and the meat jacket accessory to put on your Paulie figure... is lame. For those who want to know it's rubbery and not hard plastic.
