Context matters

Yesterday I was reading a friend's transcript/script/layout/thingy.

And at one point it said “three foot ninja emerge from the shadows just as Splinter did”

I’m thinking … why the heck is Splinter worried if they’re only three feet tall?

He could kick their ass no problem.

Then the forth Foot Ninja joins the party and I'm all ... DOH!

Yes, I saaaw the caps. My brain just didn't register them. By the way, the General is taking a long time to come back.
