Cocaine energy drink

I read about this drink a while ago. There was some contraersy about it because of the name and because of the caffiene content. It claims to have energy equal to 3 1/2 red bulls.

Heres a link to the official web site for it: http://drinkcocaine.com/mainindex.php

Now I'm an energy drink connoisseur, I've tried almost every one I could find. I went to a gas station that has every energy drink I've ever seen, (it's one of the only places in CT that carries bawls) and I found it. So I decided to try it out, because I just had to.

Now it claims to have 350% more energy than red bull. Out of all the energy drinks I've tried, red bull gives me the least energy. I know this is the most well known energy drink, but honestly it tastes awfull and it doesn't give you as much energy as most other drinks.

I really don't think this drink is 3.5 times stronger than red bull, though. It gave me a lot of energy, and more than redbull, but it really wasn't that special. One drink I can think of that gave me more energy was a 24 oz. can on Monster. Now that was a kick. This drink did not give me as much as the big Monster cans.

On the claim that it gives you a euphoric feeling similar to the real drug...I've never had cocaine the drug before, (uhh, drugs are bad!) but I didn't really feel anything more than a bit of a jolt in my legs. I think this is probably a bs claim.

Now the taste...the site claims it tastes like a fireball. My first reaction when I took a sip was that it was really cool, and it did taste like a fireball. Next, it started to burn my throat. Then, about halfway through the can, it started to taste gross and I was sick of it. The taste was unique and cool at first, but then it became almost unbearable. I think red bull even tasted better.

This had to be the sweetest drink I've ever had. It had wayy too much sugar in it, and it tasted like soda syrup. I think the makers were on real cocaine when they made this claim. (you know I had to make one joke in this post about it)

One thing people use energy drinks for a lot is for mixing with hard alcohol. (jagermeister, vodka, or rum, usually; but jagermeister makes the best mixer by far) You can't even taste the alcohol in most of these drinks. I've read a lot of bad things about doing this, but I've made energy drinks with alcohol plenty of times. But if your not going to listen to these health warnings, please listen to mine: DON'T USE REDBULL FOR MIXING. Redbull is an 8 oz energy drink, and it costs a little over $2. This gets you about 2-4 mixes, depending on how you make them. There are energy drinks out there that are 16 oz, which would get you 4-8 drinks. Most of these drinks mix just as good as red bull, if not better. I can tell you 2 that are better tasting drinks than red bull: Monster Assault (red camo can) and Lost. So you get more for less money here. Also, stay away from Full throttle, this is an awful mixer.

I haven't mixed cocaine yet, but I think it will either be a really cool, unique tasting drink, or it could taste awful. I'm gonna try it out soon, and I'll post the results.

So overall, I think this is a pretty bad drink. It was cool to try, but I wouldn't buy these regularly. If I really neeeded energy I would just buy a 24 oz can of Monster, because it actually tastes good, and gives me more energy.

It's really hard to find this stuff right now, but I think people are selling it on ebay. If it's really expensive, I would say forget it, unless you love energy drinks like I do.

Heh... well, the jolt you get from that drink is from caffeine, and probably sugar. Real coca, taken the traditional way, is a stimulant that will give you a sense of well-being and is used to increase endurance. Caffeine is a stimulant drug that does something similar. Both caffeine and cocaine affect adrenaline and dopamine (a 'pleasure' neurotransmitter). But caffeine's main effect is blocking the neural pathway that causes drowsiness, not amplifying dopamine. So it's doubtful it would cause the same feelings as coca, no matter how clever the drink makers are.

I was looking at the energy drink made by the makers of Mountain Dew, and it had 3 kinds of sugar and 2 kinds of caffeine... which to me is crazy and something I'd never put into my system. Energy drinks are mostly marketing; ordinary orange juice is much better! Now get off my lawn!

You are right that energy drinks are mostly marketing. Thats why people actually drink red bull. It gives you the least amount of energy of all energy drinks, yet its the most popular because there are clever commercials that claim it "gives you wings"

Marketing in energy drinks is huge. There are clever names that make people want to try it. Some names of energy drinks that will attract people by the name alone: Bawls, Rockstar, Cocaine, Kronick, Krunk, Von Dutch, Hulk Hogan, Stevan Segal, and other celebrities.

Taurine is supposedly the most active ingredient in energy drinks, which makes it illegal in some countires, because of health risks.

Taurine is a functional amino acid that's important in several metabolic pathways, but it's something our bodies can make. Unless we're cats. Including taurine in these drinks is kind of voodoo science. But since the we don't have any studies about the safety of mixing and drinking high levels of caffeine, taurine, and glucoronolactone (an infamous metabolic intermediary that's supposed to improve concentration), some government regulatory agencies are wary of Red Bull.

Red Bull only contains about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, but some people describe it as addictive as crack in a can, so maybe there is something to their voodoo science. Or maybe those people just like it better than coffeee (cuz we know lots of people are pretty addicted to coffee even if they don't call it crack in a cup).

But I couldn't drink that stuff with alcohol. That's just asking for a killer hangover.

Energy drinks can get addicting, just like coffee. I bought a case of bawls one time, (the best tasting drink ever) and I had one every day. After a while, it started to not give me a lot of energy, and I needed it just to be normal and awake.

I can't see anyone drinking cocaine regularly though, because it tastes so bad.

Also... I realized that bawls, the best tasting energy drink, has the most guarana, and redbull has none. Drinks with guarana also give you more energy....voodoo science?

But guaranna does the same thing as caffiene, it actually is a source of caffiene

Wait, what's the deal with taurine? I drink plenty of energy drink, though I don't really get a boost from it - I just like the taste.

There is evidence to suggest that supplemental taurine may be beneficial in a number of ways, including improvement of several elements of cardiovascular disease. Perhaps taurine helps strengthen the cardiovascular system, which would be a good thing considering you're putting stress on it with the caffeine. But the energy drink industry doesn't seem too interested in proving anything....*shrug*

Thumbs up

In the past, sodas has cocaine in them as a secret ingredient. Just be careful....as mentioned before caffeine is a stimultant. Sometimes the user experiences withdrawal symptoms such as headaches, an inability to concentrate, irritability and high anxiety. There is also intoxication of caffeine that can occur. I do not know how much caffeine is in this energy drink. An acute overdose of caffeine, usually in excess of 250 milligrams (more than 2-3 cups of brewed coffee), can result in a state of central nervous system overstimulation called caffeine intoxication. The symptoms of caffeine intoxication may include restlessness, nervousness, excitement, insomnia, flushing of the face, increased urination, gastrointestinal disturbance, muscle twitching, a rambling flow of thought and speech, irregular or rapid heart beat, and psychomotor agitation.

Besides caffiene, there are other active ingredients in the energy blend. I guess you can't just look at the caffiene amount to see what gives you the most kick, you'd have to try them out on your own.

I think what the Doc is trying to say is that instead of talking about how this cocaine drink works and whether it's comparable to real cocaine and what taurine does when combined with a dead fish and two red lego bricks, you should just try cocaine to see whether you like it or not. Obviously, the Doc likes it.

... I could be wrong though.

http://www.energyfiend.com/death-by-caffeine/

This site lets you pick an energy drink, put your weight in, and see how many cans of that energy drink it would take to kill you.

It also lists the caffiene amount of energy drinks. Notice that the most caffinated drink is Rockstar Zero Carb. It has 360 mg of caffine per can, Red Bull has 80, cocaine has 280.
