Watching 2k3 in Continuity

Just wondering how many people here have sat down and watched every episode so far released in order. Would you say it adds anything to the experience to watch these episodes in order? I mean I know there is a lot of stuff that you would not understand if the show was out of order, but do you find yourselves more attached to the characters, or getting a better view at the brothers maturing or growing up throughout the series? Basically I'm just asking which of you enjoy watching the whole thing in perfect order, and what you think it brings to the table to do so...

Yeah, I do. But then, I've got them HOME-recorded in the proper order, which makes it better. I love the commercially-released DVDs and VHS tapes, but when you wanna have a marathon, if you've recorded (taped) them yourself, it's easier.

Then again, THAT goes for ANY of your favorite TV shows or movies, NOT just the TMNT...2k3, or otherwise.

I already started a thread about this a while ago when I started doing it. Since then, I've finished and I feel that the first season is really great and that season 4 may be my favorite. However, and I don't know why I feel this, I just think that the first season is superior to everything else, just like the old toon.

i like watching them in order, especially if they are meant to be in that order, like the new toon, with the old toon it didn't always matter if u watched them in order because there was so little there to make it have continuity. I have yet to buy every dvd, but have lots recorded tape, and if they end up releasing these season sets i'll definitley get them to have a tmnt marathon

If it's the first time I see it, then yeah, I definitely try to watch it in order.

With the 2k3 toon I watched season 1, 2 and 3 in order, but 4 in absolute and complete disorder. I really regret I did that with 4, because a lot of the story was lost on me. When I watched it afterwards again, but this time in order, I realized how much fun that season really is. The whole Leo thing suddenly made sense and had more meaning (he bounced around from moody to normal for me before, which just seemed a bit stupid and irrelevant), and Don's sickness suddenly came into focus (which it hadn't before, it seemed totally random to me).

But once I've seen something already once...I bounce around like crazy and just watch whichever are my favourites, or whichever I feel like watching at the moment.

Yea, but its a pain in the ass to go to www.ninjaturtles.com to see what order the eps are supposed to be in, and then switch the disks all the time.

And I don't really do a marathon, I watch them over a long period of time.

Well, for checking the listing (for order), I just printed out a listing of the episodes. Thus have that to check when needed.

That's what I did, too. Makes things less confusing.

Make that 3...It's very helpful...especially since you have to flip and flop DVDs so much....
*hopes they release season sets.*

I remember doing 48 hour marathons for both season 1 & 2 after the last DVD of those seasons came out. I did season 3 over several days with my more in order VHS copies. I haven't got around to doing season 4 in order yet, but I probably will before the new movie comes out. It definately helps to watch them in order. That's one of the best things about any series as Whitewolf89 said. I love watching the characters grow and the story arc move along.
