Splinter's short staff

Spinter's weapon more than just a cane. In Chinese it's called the "duan gun" and can be used singlely or with one in each hand. The short staff is one of my favorite weapons in kung fu. It's the second weapon I started studying after the bo. It's striking damage makes it similar to Don's bo (only less powerful) but it's range and movement are much more simliar to the saber sword. In fact it's possible to do a saber form/kata with a short staff and vice versa, although the nuances of certain moves are lost in using the other weapon. No wonder Splinter loves this weapon for it's versitility.
