Official Continuity Thread

Okay we started talking about this in the Bodycount thread but it was way off topic, so I decided to start an "Official" thread about the Mirage comic continuity.

Okay so far here is the agreed upon list:
TMNT Vol. 1
1-15, 17-21, 24-30, 43, 45-62, 4 Microseries, Fugitoid Microseries
Tales of the TMNT Vol. 1
1-7 (I believe?)
TMNT Vol. 2
1-13
TMNT Vol. 4
1-Ongoing
Flaming Carrot, Savage Dragon Crossovers, Casey Jones 2 parter, Casey Jones: North by Downeast

Am I missing any?

I think that the Savage dragons are Image continium. Atleast some of them. And I know nothing about that Falming carrot thing, But usually cross overs aren't part of Canon. Also Some of the stories In Turtle soups could be considered as part official continium.

Yep, the Savage Dragon comic takes place in the main Image Universe, so those crossovers are probably only in the vol3 continuity...

Flaming carrots were made earlier I think, But I still doubt they are part of canon.

EDIT: Atleast one thing is missing from the list, Challenges GN by Michael Dooney. It has a sort story for Every turtle and splinter. It also retells the Origin.

I forgot to add Issue #42 from Vol. 1. Well the first Savage Dragon/TMNT crossover was preImage TMNT. They even make reference to it in a Vol. 2 issue. The Flaming Carrot crossover was during the Volume 2 time period. I never read any of the Turtle Soups. Are they any good?

Volume of TS is Black&white and has one issue,(I have ordered it, it is on the way) Volume 2 is in full color. They contain short stories by various artists, And some of those stories can be considered as a part of the Canon. I haven' got th first one yet, But I have read 2 of the Volume 2 ones, and I think they are good.

in Vol.2?

Hmm... okay maybe we can throw the Turtle Soups in the Canon as well. I also forgot about Michael Dooney's "Challenges". I really have to order both. Dan Berger must know me so damn well by now.

Also to add to the above list is Michael Zulli's trilogy not Canon but a fantastic story.

He removes his own brain and inserts it into a Cyborg body.

Any chance he'll put it in a cyborg insectoid body? Wishful thinking

And become an Insecticon? I don't think so... or at least not without asking for Hasbro's permission. (Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

I have 2 out fo the three Flaming Carrot comics, but... I can't remember what publisher put them out either. Think it was Mirage... I'll go check when I think of it.

There's another TMNT crossover done by an indie publisher who did the Creed comics (by Trent Karnuga). I loved the way he drew them too.

But the question is, are they part of the official continuity? Thre are many Mirage published books that aren't, like Grey sponge sushi turtles or haunted Pizza. There are more.

Yeah, I know Creed wasn't a Mirage run. Did I do wrong by mentioning that?

Okay.. *looks at another website to check* Oh yeah, when Usagi Yojimbo was published by Mirage, Stan did a few TMNT crossovers too.

Then... *clips and pastes stuff not listed yet*

Gobbledy Go ok special (first TMNT appearance)
Shell Shock (backstory collection from Volume 1)
Tales of the TMNT #1-7
Body Count #1-4 (originally titled Casey Jones & Raphael)
Casey Jones: North by Downeast #1 & 2 (Mirage?)
Turtle Soup special
Turtle Soup #1-4
Plastron Café #1
The Haunted Pizza special
The Maltese Turtle special
Times Pipeline special (not sure if that's Mirage)
TMNT: Challenges graphic novel by Micahel Dooney
Usagi Yojimbo Volume 1 #10
Usagi Yojimbo Volume 2 #2 & 3

Yeah atleast these aren't part of the Canon :
The Haunted Pizza special
The Maltese Turtle special
Times Pipeline special (not sure if that's Mirage)

The plastron short stories or Usagi Yojimbo might be, I don't know anything about them.

Well as I said eralier, not all Mirage published are part of the Canon. If I remember correctly, the are puböished by Mirage. And for the info I have got on them, I can say they aren't part of the Canon. OF course neither are some Volume 1 guest artist issues.

The Haunted Pizza special
The Maltese Turtle special
Times Pipeline specia

Having just reread Issue 37, I want to add that issue as well to the continuity. Wow I've forgotten all about this one. What a great story. I also want to add issue 44. I don't have this one but after checking out the summary on the offical site, it sounds cool and features the Foot. I'll have to order it. So for anyone following along:

Mirage Canon
Volume 1:
1-15, 17-21, 24-30, 32, 37, 42-62
31, 35-36 Not Canon but worth owning
Tales of the TMNT:
1-7
One Shots and Specials:
Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, Fugitoid, Challenges, Casey Jones: North by Downeast
Turtle Soup:
1-4 Contains some canon stories
Volume 2:
1-13
Volume 4:
1-7 (ongoing)
