Season 1 DVD Set, Why We Really Need One

Alright so I was kinda pissed that they were making half season sets. I mean I spent about 220 bucks plus tax on all the TMNT DVDs. Their out of order and you can't skip the intro on almost all of them but I still own them all. Not to mention it will most likely cost 10 bucks and it has 4 DVDs worth the episodes on it so that's 30 dollars I could have saved.

But have you watched the old DVDs in awhile? I popped in the fiirst DVD today and man is it screwed up. For one them cutting out the annoying change overs when it went to a break will be nice. There's an error where one pops up randomly in the first episode and you miss part of a scene. And you can't skip the intro. I did like however that it went all the way through and only had the credits once but that's not a big deal.

Also it will be great to see the episodes all in order. Half way through season 2 they got all jacked up. I just hope it doesn't take to long. If it's 4 months in between sets it'll be forever and a year before we get them all.

So I see these sets as necessary. But I know with my luck I'll buy them all and then they will do what they did with Batman Beyond and release a series set or something.

Eh money can always be made. I will be buying the new sets even though I own all the DVD's as well. I have a 400 disc DVD player so it will free up some room toward the back, where I put all my TMNT toons. 8 discs turn to 4 for season 1, 4 discs instead of 6 for season 2, I can see it fanning out real well. If they get to TLS, it can be on 2 discs instead of 3 like the AU release is.

I forsee them fixing the glitches, taking out the cuts to commercials, and re-adding the missing intros from the first few DVD releases.

Can't wait.

EDIT: After some thinking I can say this. 30 spaces in the end of my DVD player are devoted to the 2k3 toon (including TLS, and FF vol. 1 with two spaces open for vol. 2's 2 discs.) If all seasons are released as 4 discs then I will gain 8 free spaces.

16 for seasons 1-4, 2 discs for TLS, 4 discs for TMNT:FF. in anycase I save 8 spaces no matter how many more seasons they do, thanks to trimming down the fat.
