Actually, I love this idea. I've also brainstormed this before. All I want is Some real quality turtle figs, A splinter, and a Mcfarlane Shredder.....I'll keep dreaming. But it could be possible, I could see someone making some real quality Mirage original figs....Do petitions ever work?

Mcfarlane Toys has no interest in the Property that is TMNT.
I've asked Todd and Countless others at the company at shows and that was the answere given to me every time.

nah you can ask whatever you want.
I'm sad about it also. I do worry at this point though if they ever did make them I think they would be to detailed..if thats even possible..or try and make them all bloody, or gorish.

Wow, thats a bummer about them not having any interest, but I could have seen them doing simple original ones that match the statues and the first comic cover. If only we could get a toy line dedicated to comic book heroes that all come with a comic or something. That could really work in my opinion.

EDIT" ya, thats basically marvel legends, but too bad they cant expand.

Sad to hear that...

It would've been awesome to see the four movie one Turtles in McFarlane's Movie Maniacs series... To me, they would've fit perfectly next to The Crow and Edward Scissorhands...

Of course, it'd be too late for that anyway. McFarlane doesn't make the Movie Maniacs series anymore. It was sold to NECA.
And sad to say, the new movie figures NECA make aren't the quality once reached by McFarlane.
A quick glimpse at their recent John McLane (Die Hard) figure shows that.

Still, I wonder if NECA would be interested in doing the 1990 cult film Turtles figs... Maybe I'll ask 'em in a mail. They replied pretty quickly last time I asked 'em something...

Wouldn't be a bad idea to do that. Especially right now, while TMNT still has a little buzz, it may spark some interest in them. Sweet talk em into it

It's not going to happen though because Playmates wont let go of the property.

Yeah. Seriously, the franchise is blowing up, especially now. Playmates wants to keep their hands in the pot just as they have for the last twenty-odd years, and I can't blame them, I'd do the same thing.

I would rather have seen Palisades do it, but now that they're gone....

Anyway, I'm not a McFarline fan, though I do like their new Simpsons and Hanna Barbera lines. I really wish that playmates make TMNT Legends toys for the comic fans, and maybe a retro line of 80's TMNT figures (that look like they do in the show).

that's exactly what they should be doing but the people who run the company are morons and don't think those lines would sell...you can't tell me if you made a hyped up super sculpt of krang, shredder, bebop, and rocksteady that they wouldn't sell.
Frankly it's my opinion that allot of the reason the line was doing so badly was the lack of interesting look characters.

I'd like to see SOTA give the Turtles a whirl, because their action figures are awesome all around, not just in the detail. McFarlane produces nothing but overly-detailed, barely-articulated junk for the most part.

But are true but for me I'd like Really detailed figures yes figures not statues like mcfarlame makes. Now if some one could come along and do the detail of the 80's figures with the scale and articulation of modern day action figures hey we'd be set!
