Super Mario Bros. 3 Cartoon?

I figure someone in here must remember a cartoon that was based specifically on the Super Mario 3 Nintento game that used to come on CBS Saturday mornings? This was probably in 1990 or something and there was something like 12 or 14 or maybe even 20 episodes made? They were 15 minutes each and they used to come on with another cartoon show that was based on nintendo with a Game Boy in it and stuff (I can never remember the name of that one).

I can remember some of the episodes of the Super Mario 3 cartoon but only bits and pieces, like when Toad took his mushroom hat off and an episode that took place under water and stuff like that. Does anyone know where these episodes could be downloaded?

Thanks in advance!

This should be in GD, but I'll contribute to it anyway.

Yes I do remember that show, but from what I remember, it was in conjunction with the daily SMB show (where every friday they showed The Legend of Zelda instead of Mario, and that made Fridays extra special for me!)

there was if I recall correctly the Super Mario Super Show on Fox in 1989, that had both a Mario and Zelda cartoon...Captain N and the GAme MAsters which features SMB 3, Castlevania, Kid Icarus, etc...

there was also Acclaim's Power Team in 1990 that featured either NARC the cartoon(Yeah, weird...a cartoon based ont he ultra violent late 80's arcade game...which just happens to be my fave game ever!) or Wizards and Warriors.

There was several Sonic cartoons, the best of which was the Japanese anime series.

Um...in the ealry 80's there was saturday monring cartoons of everything from Donkey Kong, Pacman, and Kangaroo to Q*bert, Pitfall, etc.

So yes, there has definately been some interesting video game based cartoons...with stinkers like the American Street Fighter(the anime Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter Alpha blows this away!) and Mortal Kombat in between.

How many Sonic cartoon series have there been? I know DIC created one for ABC, Saturday morning cartoon lineup (which I'm guessing the Archie comic is based off) and one that was syndicated. There was the anime, of course. Are there any others? By the way, the ABC one was the best.

The best Sonic in cartoon form was the Sonic anime otherwise called Sonic The Hedgehog: The Movie

I think The Super Mario Bros. Super Show was syndicated it came on a lot of different channels in 1989-1990.

The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros. 3 came on NBC in 1990-1991. There was 26 episodes.

Super Mario World was also on NBC from 1991-1992. Only 13 episodes was made.

The Family Channel{later Fox Family, now ABC Family} showed all 3 in the mid-90's. That's how I first saw them together.

I do believe that DVD is of Super Mario Bros. 2. I have two video cassettes of the SMBs3 show though. I used to watch it every saturday after Camp Candy. Remember that one? With John Candy?

I believe these shows were all joined up with Captain N at some point, it was all pretty confusing though.
