McDonald's TMNT toys, was it any good?
I've seen the toys pic and have to say they look a bit lame. But I can't just judge things just from one resource. To all you fine people who bought the toys, was it any good? Is it worth it? Because I'm considering buying them off from ebay to make it as a collector's item.
Thank you |

I'd say it's the best kind of quality you can expect from a 1.05 happy meal toy. I particularly enjoy the new "storage shell" types. They look good on a shelf. But yeah, definatly pick them up while you still can. I think this is the last week for them at McD's.

I love how the Donatello fig' spins his bowstaff when you press the little button on his back, and he's placed in such a badass stance. He's definitely the coolest of the action toys. I've all four of them, but have yet to pick up any of the shell-opening toys.
On that note, what's in the shell of the turtles?

All of them have a smaller rolling figures that slides out of their shell when you push on the head. Michaelangelo has a Mike on a skateboard, Leonardo has a hang gliding Leo, Raphael has a Nightwatcher, and apparently they couldn't think of something for Donatello cuz he has the monkey monster on a garbage truck

I just got Leonardo with the sword stance. Pretty good in my opinion. And I also made a deal with the McDonalds manager. After 25th of April, when the toys promotion is finished, I will have the toys on display. Pretty good negotiation I must say

I think they're done, Ecto.
I almost wrote something up about how lame the Donatello open-shell toy was compared to the other three. Having a mini NightWatcher, mini Leo on hang-glider, and mini Mike on Skateboard was just pure genious. They could have pulled off something like Don in the Cowabunga Carl van if they'd tried. To me, a monster on a train car filled with coal is just lame when the other three have the turtles themselves inside them. They're also very nicely sculpted, especially the NightWatcher one. Definitely a bargain for $1.07 each.

I just picked up storage shell mike today at my local mickey's. It depends on the location of the mcdonalds if they are still selling them.
