Eastman And Laird Are Metalheads

I was reading the older issues and there's a few where Casey and I think Metalhead have Metallica shirts on. Also on some walls stuff like "Testament rules" and band names like Anthrax and Megadeth are tagged on there.

Maybe their not anymore*Though maybe it was all Eastman* but they atleast used to. I havn't read all of volume 1 yet so there might be some more I missed. Just kinda neat to know I share a somewhat same musical taste as atleast one of the TMNT creators.

I think Eastman's the metalhead. I'm not sure about Laird, but whenever someone asks him if he's a fan of such-and-such band because they saw a reference to that band in the comics, he always responds that it was Eastman or one of the other guys at Mirage who liked it. I wonder if Laird even listens to music?

Hell, there is even a Metallica CD that mentions TMNT in the credits. We'll have to wait for one of the more Metallica knowledgable TMNT fans to know which album though, I can't remember for the life of me.

Well, what to say? Eastman is the current owner and publisher of "Heavy Metal" magazine. That says something.

*rimshot*

(and I know it's a comics magazine, not music)

Yeah it's All Kevin Eastman lol Laird wow what music would he listen to I think maybe he seems like the type that would listen to instramental or electronic experimental sounds type of music. *shruggs* but hey no one knows but him.
If he was still doing vol. 4 some one could write in and ask.

yeah, I knew Eastman was a metalhead, obviously with the Heavy Metal mag affiliation...I say rock on! I have always been a metal girl
I can imagine a lot of guys in the business have been involved in Metal, its been a long time running

Putting things like logo shirts on characters, Casey for example, is always a nice touch it just makes them even more relatable

For the life of me I can't remember what band but back in the 90's there was this metal band they used to show live videos of and the guitar player had a ninja turtle painted on his guitar.

It must have been Dan Spitz of Anthrax. I've seen him with the turtles on his guitar before, and he has stated that he is a big fan of the old mirage tmnt. In fact here's a pic to dan's PRS http://www.elderly.com/images/vintag...3399_front.jpg. Someone even made a replica of his old jackson http://www.jacksonguitarpalace.com/R...urtlesxtrr.jpg.

BTW- I've deffinately heard that kevin is a metalhead.
